History

In May 2014, Union Express Charter Airline was announced as a start-up airline to offer charter flights from Myeik, Myanmar (Myeik Airport) to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) using a Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft on twice weekly flights from mid-2014. It is a joint venture between Myanmar Union Express Aviation Group and Myeik Public Corporation. [2] [3] [4]

Phuket Air was an airline based in Bangkok, Thailand. The airline specialised in leasing its fleet of Boeing 747 and 737 aircraft on an ACMI as well as wet lease basis to airlines worldwide needing extra passenger capacity. Other services provided included international charter services, ad hoc wet leasing services, religious pilgrimage charters (Hajj/Umrah) and dry lease services. Saudi Arabian Airlines was a major long term client of Phuket Air. In the past, the airline provided scheduled domestic and international air services. Its main base was at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, with a hub at Phuket International Airport, Phuket. The airline was an international scheduled carrier before it shifted its focus to the ACMI/wet lease market.

Myanmar Airways International Co., Ltd. is a privately owned airline headquartered in Yangon, Myanmar. It operates scheduled international services to destinations mainly in Southeast Asia and is based at Yangon International Airport. Myanmar Airways International was the sponsor of the 2013 Southeast Asian Games. MAI's logo shows pyinsarupa, a traditional Burmese chimeric animal.

Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, or simply GX Airlines, is a Chinese airline based at Nanning Wuxu International Airport. It is a joint venture between Tianjin Airlines and the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group. GX Airlines commenced operations on 13 February 2015 as one of the first airlines based in Guangxi.

APEX Airlines was a charter and scheduled airline based in Yangon, Myanmar. APEX provided scheduled air services to Myanmar's commercial city Yangon and to Tanintharyi Region with daily flights. It main base was Naypyidaw International Airport

Air Guilin is a Chinese airline with its headquarters in Xiufeng District, Guilin, Guangxi, and with Guilin Liangjiang International Airport as its main base of flight operations. A joint venture between the Guilin Municipal Government and HNA Group, the airline began operations in June 2016 using Airbus A319 aircraft. It intends to boost the tourism industry in Guilin.

It is the first airline to operate scheduled services from Bolzano Airport after Darwin Airline suspended its flights between Bolzano and Rome's Fiumicino Airport in 2015, although Austrian Airlines has operated charter flights from Bolzano since then. Flights are operated by Luxwing, a Maltese charter airline.
