APEX Airlines was [1] a charter and scheduled airline based in Yangon, Myanmar. APEX provided scheduled air services to Myanmar's commercial city Yangon and to Tanintharyi Region with daily flights. It main base was Naypyidaw International Airport
APEX Airline Public Company Limited (APEX Airlines) was incorporated on 27 November 2012 for the purpose of providing International and Domestic Air Transport Services and was awarded a provisional Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) to commence its startup process. APEX Airlines was operational and started to serve passengers in March 2015. [2]

Dawei is a city in south-eastern Myanmar and is the capital of the Tanintharyi Region, formerly known as the Tenasserim Division, on the northern bank of the Dawei River. The city is about 614.3 km (381.7 mi) southeast of Yangon. Its population is 146,964. Dawei is a port at the head of the Dawei River estuary, 30 km (18.6 mi). from the Andaman Sea. As a result, the city is prone to flooding during the monsoon season. "Dawei" is also the name of one of Myanmar's 135 ethnic minorities.
Air Mandalay was a regional airline based in Yangon. Its main base was Yangon International Airport. In early April 2015, two newly leased Embraer ERJ 145 jets joined its fleet.
Air Thanlwin is an airline based in Yangon, Myanmar, offering scheduled and chartered domestic flights out of its bases at Yangon International Airport. It was suspended from December 2010 but has since restarted operations starting from 16 October 2011.
Naypyidaw, officially spelled Nay Pyi Taw, is the capital and third-largest city of Myanmar. The city is located at the centre of the Naypyidaw Union Territory. It is unusual among Myanmar's cities, as it is an entirely planned city outside of any state or region. The city, then known only as Pyinmana District, officially replaced Yangon as the administrative capital of Myanmar on 6 November 2005; its official name was revealed to the public on Armed Forces Day, 27 March 2006.

Tanintharyi or Taninthayi is a small town in Taninthayi Township, Myeik District, in the Tanintharyi Region of south-western Myanmar. It is the administrative seat for the township. The town is located on the Great Tenasserim River which eventually enters the sea at Myeik. The town is located at the confluence of this river and a tributary known as the "Little Tenasserim River" which runs south.
Mandalay International Airport, located 35 km south of Mandalay in Tada-U, is one of only three international airports in Myanmar. Completed in 1999, it was the largest and most modern airport in the country until the modernization of Yangon International Airport in 2008. The airport connects 11 domestic and seven international destinations. Its 4,267 m (13,999 ft) runway is the longest runway in use in Southeast Asia and has the capacity to handle up to 3 million passengers a year. The airport is the main operating base of Golden Myanmar Airlines.
Myanmar National Airlines, formerly Union of Burma Airways, Burma Airways, and Myanma Airways, is a state-owned airline and the flag carrier of Myanmar, based in Yangon. Founded in 1948, the airline operates scheduled services to all major domestic destinations and to regional destinations in Asia. Its main base is Yangon International Airport.
Naypyidaw International Airport officially spelled Nay Pyi Taw, , is located 16 kilometres southeast of Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. Before the foundation of Naypyidaw, this was referred to as the airport of the nearby town of Lewe. The airport officially opened on 19 December 2011.
Tanintharyi Region is an administrative region of Myanmar, covering the long narrow southern part of the country on the upper Malay peninsula, reaching to the Kra Isthmus. It borders the Andaman Sea to the west and the Tenasserim Hills, beyond which lie Thailand, to the east. To the north is the Mon State. There are many islands off the coast, the large Mergui Archipelago in the southern and central coastal areas and the smaller Moscos Islands off the northern shores. The capital of the division is Dawei (Tavoy). Other important cities include Myeik (Mergui) and Kawthaung. The division covers an area of 43,344.9 km², and had a population of 1,406,434 at the 2014 Census.
The Myanmar Port Authority is a government agency vested with the responsibility to regulate and administer the coastal ports of Myanmar. It is a department of the Ministry of Transport. The MPA was founded in 1989 and is located in Yangon.
Air KBZ is a privately owned domestic Myanmar airline based in Yangon. Air Kanbawza, otherwise known as AIR KBZ, was established in June 2010. The airline began operations with a Yangon-Bagan-Nyaung Oo-Mandalay-Heho-Yangon flight on 2 April 2019. In 2015 Air KBZ began codesharing international flights with its partner Myanmar Airways International, but on 2 December 2016 Air KBZ itself expanded internationally, launching its first scheduled service outside Myanmar with flights connecting Yangon and Chiang Mai in neighboring Thailand.
Mann Yadanarpon Airlines Company Limited is a privately owned domestic airline based in Mandalay, Myanmar. The airline began operations in February 2014. The airline also offers charter services and is planning to commence regional services to Thailand.
Tanintharyi Line is a 1,000 mm gauge railway line in Myanmar's southernmost region, Tanintharyi Region, operated by Myanmar Railways. The line runs from Mawlamyine Railway Station (Moulmein) to the Dawei area, with connections to Yangon Central Railway Station, it is under construction extending towards Myeik from the current terminus of Thayetchaung Station, which lies just after Dawei Station. Current section in operation includes the part from Mawlamyaing Station to Thayetchaung. It is expected to become a part of a pan-Asian railway network, allowing spur connections specifically to Thailand. A spur connection between the SRT rail head at Nam Tok Station in Kanchanaburi Province to Dawei Station through mountains is planned by Thai interests backed by Japanese funding, though other rail connections are certainly possible. Until then, there is an air bridge in the north end with Nok Air flights from Mae Sot Airport, Thailand to Mawlamyaing to bypass rough and politically conflicted overland connections.
FMI Air was a scheduled airline based in Yangon, Myanmar.
Lei Lei Maw is a Burmese politician and a medical doctor who served as Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region and Taninthayi Region Parliament MP for Thayetchaung Township Constituency No. 1. She was removed from her chief minister position for corruption on 11 March 2019. She is the second of only two women chief ministers appointed by President Htin Kyaw.
