Universities and Colleges Athletic Association

The Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (UCAA) is an athletic association of colleges and universities in the Philippines. It was established in August 20, 2002 [1] and was headed by its president Art Onas. [2] The season is usually held during the first semester of the school year, which regularly starts from August to October.

De La Salle University, also referred to as DLSU, De La Salle or La Salle, is a private, Catholic coeducational research university run by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools with main campus in Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila, Philippines. The University Athletic Association of the Philippines and National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) champions are considered to be the major champions, although several other leagues, claim their champions in equal standing with those of the UAAP and the NCAA.

The National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) is an athletic association in Metro Manila, Philippines established in 1993. It is primarily held during the second semester of a school around November until February.

The Olivarez College, also known as simply Olivarez or OC, is a private, nonsectarian college along Dr. A. The LPU Pirates and Lady Pirates are the athletic teams that represent the Lyceum of the Philippines University and play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), the oldest athletic association in the Philippines. Lyceum has collegiate men's varsity teams that participate in fifteen sporting events of the NCAA. They are also popularly known as the "Pirata ng Intramuros". The Lady Pirates volleyball team also played in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

United Calabarzon Collegiate League (UCCL) is a collegiate sporting league exclusive for colleges and universities based in the Calabarzon region comprising Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon. The UCCL established in 2007 as the North Batangas Open League. Among the sports who are included in the league are basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, football, and chess.

The Lyceum Pirates basketball program represents Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The Lyceum Pirates previously co-founded the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA).

The Arellano Chiefs basketball program represents Arellano University in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). Originally the Arellano Flaming Arrows, the Arellano Chiefs have previously played in the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA), winning two consecutive championships from 2007 and 2008. The Chiefs transferred to the NCAA in 2010, and have qualified to two Finals appearances, in 2014 and 2016, losing each time to the defending champions San Beda Red Lions.

The EAC Generals basketball program represents Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The EAC Generals joined the NCAA in 2009, having been a fixture in the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) and Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (UCAA).
