Edge of Sanity was a Swedish death metal band that, alongside Opeth, is commonly regarded as being the first to fuse extreme metal styles like death and black metal with progressive rock. The group was founded by Dan Swanö in 1989 and ended in 2003.

He achieved fame as the vocalist and songwriter of progressive death metal band Edge of Sanity.
Morningrise is the second studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. It was released on 24 June 1996 in Europe by Candlelight Records and on 24 June 1997 in the United States by Century Black. The recording sessions took place at Unisound studio, in Finspång, during March and April 1996. Morningrise was the last Opeth release with drummer Anders Nordin and bassist Johan De Farfalla, as well as the last Opeth album to be produced by Dan Swanö.

Autopsy Torment is a Swedish death metal band, formed in 1989. The band was started by Thomas Karlsson, Autopsy Torment's frontman and singer, with Onkel on guitars. In 1991, the band became a trio with Karl Vincent on drums and Daniel Nilsen on guitar who wrote and recorded the demo Darkest Rituals that same year. Then followed a period of constant personnel changes, with Thomas Karlsson and Karl Vincent as the core members.
Crimson II is the eighth and final full-length studio album by Swedish death metal band Edge of Sanity and is a continuation of the storyline first heard on the album Crimson (1996). It is the only Edge of Sanity release that does not feature original members Andreas Axelsson, Sami Nerberg, Anders Lindberg and Benny Larsson. Opeth frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt, who provided vocals and guitar on the first album, also does not appear. Instead, it features contributions from guest musicians Mike Wead, Jonas Granvik, and brothers Roger and Simon Johannson.
Dance of December Souls is the debut studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Katatonia. It was released on CD in 1993 by No Fashion Records and LP by Helion Records, released in the US in 1999 by Century Black. In 2004, record label Black Lodge reissued the album with all new artwork, but the band has stated on its website that it does not support this release for personal reasons. In 2007, the album was reissued, this time under Peaceville UK with a blue version of the original cover and all five songs from the Jhva Elohim Meth... The Revival EP appended as bonus tracks. In 2010, Svart Records released a double vinyl version, which also included all songs from the EP.

On the promotional poster released by Black Mark Production, it reads: "Very remastered by Dan Swanö". On the album cover are mini-pictures of the album covers from all their major releases. Although the two "Crimson" records are featured on a second compact disc, they were remixed and slightly edited in order to be placed together on the same disc, explaining the shortened run time of the two songs.

Excised and anatomised is an EP by Swedish death metal band Evocation. The EP contains covers of songs by Bolt Thrower, Carcass, Napalm Death, Edge of Sanity and At The Gates. It was released on 3 September 2013 in North America through iTunes and CMDistro on vinyl.
