Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA is scheduled to release his fifth solo studio album sometime in 2024, though Real Hasta la Muerte. The album's title has not yet been confirmed as its previous title Rompecorazones has been canceled. Previously announced as an extended play, the project will follow his fourth solo studio album LLNM2 (2022). [1]

Contents

The concept of the album was changed multiple times. First, it was announced as a deluxe version of Anuel AA's fourth solo studio album LLNM2 containing six or seven song. Then, an extended play with the title Rompecorazones was confirmed but it was converted to a studio album. Till this moment, the title of the album is set to be announced before its release as a surprise.

Background and promotion

2023: Rompecorazones

After releasing his fourth solo studio album LLNM2, Anuel AA posted a preview of a song produced by Foreign Teck and Smash David and hinted on its deluxe edition. He clarified the statement in an interview for Trap House Latino that 6 or 7 unreleased tracks from the album will be released. Later he confirmed the statement by uploading an Instagram story with a bachata song in the background, produced by Chris Jedi and Gaby Music.

In February, 2023, Anuel AA announced his US tour "Legends Never Die". In the promotion video, he declared that his next project is an extended play with the title Rompecorazones. [2] Then he included Puerto Rican producer DJ Luian and Puerto Rican producer duo Mambo Kingz as part of his workteam, with them lined up to work on the project. After partnering on multiple collaborations, including the release of the lead singles Más Rica Que Ayer and Mejor Que Yo, Anuel AA claimed in an Instagram live that the extended play is recorded and delivered for mastering. After his concert in Panama, he claimed that the time for the release of Rompecorazones is "getting closer". [3] Later Anuel AA announced in a live with Adin Ross on Kick that his upcoming album Rompecorazones is on the way after the release of two remixes ("Bby Boo" and "No Te Quieren Conmigo").

2024: New album title

In an interview for Dominican radio host and celebrity interviewer Santiago Matías, known as Alofoke, Anuel AA stated that the album is ready and he is only waiting for the medias to begin the prepare for its promotion. He also said that the name of the project is no more Rompecorazones because there will be a lot of versatility and the concept of the album has been changed.

Postposement and release

In early October, 2023, Anuel AA announced that the previously announced extended play Rompecorazones is postponed due to an unexpected emergency surgery. He also declared that it was supposed to be released at the end of the month but it got deferred till further notice. Anuel AA also said that he stopped working for a time because of his recovery. [4]

Puerto Rican rapper Wisin stated in an interview that he will appear on Anuel AA's album in a merengue song titled "Te Botè". Another speculated song on the album is "Shampoo De Coco", produced by Arkey-O, which is supposed to be a collaboration between Anuel AA, Jhayco and J Balvin.

In early May, 2024, Anuel AA previewed another song in the promotional video for his single "Toki" with Casper Magico, Luar La L and iZaak, which is supposed to be released in his upcoming album.

Singles

In late December, 2023, Anuel AA released "Luces Tenues". The song is supposed to be the debut single from the album. The next single "Tacos Gucci" came out on February 16, 2024. Later DJ Luian confirmed one of the songs in the album titled "Razones" saying that his "favourite song haven’t come out yet." [5] [6]

Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, known professionally as Anuel AA, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. His music often contains samples and interpolations of songs that were popular during his youth. He is seen as a controversial figure in the Latin music scene for his legal troubles and feuds with fellow Puerto Rican rappers Cosculluela, Ivy Queen and Arcángel as well as American rapper 6ix9ine. Raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he started recording music at age fourteen and began posting it online four years later in 2010, before eventually signing to the Latin division of fellow American rapper Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group. It was released hours before Anuel AA left jail and on September 18, 2018, the RIAA certified Real Hasta la Muerte Platinum.
