Andhra Pradesh is a state in the south-eastern coastal region of India. Its official language is Telugu; one of the classical languages of India, the fourth most spoken language in India and the 11th-most spoken language in the world.

Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu is an Indian politician and the current Vice President of India and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, in office since 11 August 2017. Machilipatnam, also known as Masulipatnam, Masulipatam, Masula, and Bandar, is a city in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipal corporation and the administrative headquarters of Krishna district. It is also the mandal headquarters of Machilipatnam mandal in Machilipatnam revenue division of the district. The ancient port town served as the settlement of European traders from the 16th century, and it was a major trading port for the Portuguese, British, Dutch and French in the 17th century.

The virus has spread in 13 districts of the state, of which East Godavari has the highest number of cases.
Vijayawada–Hyderabad Expressway is a 181 km four- to six-lane expressway that connects Vijayawada and Hyderabad. It was opened for public in October 2012. The project was undertaken by concessionaire "GMR Vijayawada–Hyderabad Expressways Private Limited", a subsidiary of GMR Group on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis. It is one of the busiest expressways in India. It is a part of National Highway 65, which connects Machilipatnam to Pune.
