V. Rasaretnam was the 23rd Surveyor General of Sri Lanka. He was appointed in 1958,succeeding N. S. Perera,and held the office until 1961. He was succeeded by J. L. T. E. Dassenaike. [1]
Sri Lanka,formerly known as Ceylon and officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka,is an island country in South Asia. Kumara Chokshananda Sangakkara is a Sri Lankan cricket commentator,former professional cricketer,businessman,ICC Hall of Fame inductee,and the former president of Marylebone Cricket Club and former captain of Sri Lanka national cricket team in all formats. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the sport. He was officially rated in the top three current batsmen in the world in all three formats of the game at various stages of his international career. He is the current coach of Rajasthan Royals IPL team. Sangakkara scored 28,016 runs in international cricket across all formats in a career that spanned 15 years. At retirement,he was the second-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket,next only to Sachin Tendulkar,and the sixth-highest run scorer in Test cricket.
Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan,commonly known as Tillakaratne Dilshan is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and former captain of the Sri Lanka national cricket team. He studied at the Kalutara Vidyalaya. He is often regarded as the best rated Sri Lankan player in run-chases in ODI history. Dilshan is considered to be a rare example of a cricketer with notable skills in all aspects of the game,who can bat,bowl,field and keep wicket. He is an aggressive right-hand batsman who invented the scoop,which has come to be known as the Dilscoop,a shot that hits the ball over the keeper. Apart from being an opening batsman,he is also a capable off-break bowler. Energetic in the field,he usually fielded at the point region.
Vira Bahu II was King of Gampola who ruled from 1391/2 to 1397. He succeeded Bhuvanaikabahu V and was succeeded by Vira Alakesvara. He may have been succeeded two of his sons in the year 1397.
Vikramabahu III was King of Gampola who ruled from 1357 to 1374. He succeeded his Uncle Parakramabahu V as King of Gampola and was succeeded by his nephew Bhuvanaikabahu V.
Bhuvanaikabahu IV was the first King of Gampola who ruled from 1344/5 to 1353/4. He succeeded his father Vijayabahu V of Dambadeniya and became the King of Gampola. He was succeeded by his brother Parakkamabahu V.
Parakkamabahu IV was King of Dambadeniya in the 14th century,who was also a scholar known as Pandit Parakramabahu. He built a temple for the Tooth Relic at Kurunegala and was responsible for writing Dhaladha Siritha,a book that laid down procedures for uninterrupted conduct of paying homage to the sacred relic. He renamed Mahanuwara (Kandy/මහනුවර) as Senkadagala. He extended patronage to Vijayaba Pirivena,Asgiriya Temple,and Sri Ghanananda Pirivena. He succeeded his father Bhuvanaikabahu II as King of Dambadeniya and was succeeded by Bhuvanaikabahu III.
Kuda Tissa was a king of Anuradhapura,the first established kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka. He ruled in the 1st century BC,between 50 BC to 47 BC. He succeeded his uncle Chora Naga as King of Anuradhapura and was succeeded by Siva I.
Soththisena was King of Anuradhapura in the 5th century,whose reign lasted the year 434. He succeeded his father Mahanama as King of Anuradhapura and was succeeded by his step sister's husband Chattagahaka Jantu. According to the great history of Sri Lanka,King Soththisena,the shortest reigning king of Sri Lanka,ascended the throne in the morning and was assassinated that evening in a palace conspiracy.
Chattagahaka Jantu was king of Anuradhapura for about one year from 434 AD to 435 AD. He succeeded his wife's stepbrother Soththisena and was succeeded by Mittasena.
Udaya II was King of Anuradhapura from 952 to 955. He succeeded Dappula V as King of Anuradhapura and was succeeded by his brother Sena III.
I. F. Wilson was the 20th Surveyor General of Sri Lanka. He was appointed in 1946,succeeding R. J. Johnston,and held the office until 1951. He was succeeded by C. B. King.

C. Vanniasingam was the 30th Surveyor General of Sri Lanka. He was appointed in 1970,succeeding C. T. Goonawardana,and held the office until 1971. He was succeeded by R. A. Gunawardana.
S. T. Herat was the 35th Surveyor General of Sri Lanka. He was appointed in 1989,succeeding S. D. F. C. Nanayakkara,and held the office until 1991. He was succeeded by E. M. Perera.
E. M. Perera was the 36th Surveyor General of Sri Lanka. He was appointed in 1991,succeeding S. T. Herat,and held the office until 1991. He was succeeded by Thamotharam Somasekaram.
