Vurity Venkatram (born 29 September 1956) was a former Indian first-class cricketer who played 70+ First Class matches for Bihar cricket team from 1975-76 to 1991–92. He Captained Bihar Ranji Team for 1981-82 to 1986-87 season. After retirement,he became head coach of Jharkhand cricket team and he is a BCCI Certified Level ‘C’Cricket Coach.
Venkatram was a right-arm off break bowler who represented Bihar cricket team. He played 68 first-class and 5 List A matches between the 1973/74 and 1991/92 seasons. He had a successful career as bowler,taking 217 wickets at an average of 26.52 with 13 five-wicket hauls. He was also a useful lower-order batsman with a first-class batting average of more than 22. He also went on to captain Bihar in a few matches and represent East Zone cricket team. [1]
After his playing career,Venkatram took up the job of coaching. He became the coach of Tripura cricket team in 2000 and,in the 2004/05 season,he took up the same role with Jharkhand cricket team. [2] Jharkhand had reached the Ranji semifinal during his tenure. [3] In May 2008,he was appointed as the spin bowling coach of the National Cricket Academy. [4] He had also been a coach at the National School of Cricket in Dehradun. [3] He was named Jharkhand coach for a second time before the start of the 2014/15 domestic season. [2] He is the chief coach of the Jharkhand Cricket Academy which functions in Jamshedpur. [3]
Anil Kumble is an Indian former cricket player,coach and commentator who played Test and One Day International cricket for his national team over an international career of 18 years. Widely regarded as one of the best leg spinners and one of the greatest bowlers in Test Cricket History,he took 619 wickets in Test cricket and was the third highest wicket taker of all time at the time of his retirement in 2008. In 1999 while playing against Pakistan,Kumble dismissed all ten batsmen in a Test match innings,joining England's Jim Laker as the second player to achieve the feat. Unlike his contemporaries,Kumble was not a big turner of the ball,but relied primarily on pace,bounce,and accuracy. He was nicknamed "Apple" and "Jumbo". Kumble was selected as the Cricketer of the Year in 1993 Indian Cricket,and one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year three years later. Kumble was a member of the Indian team that was one of the joint-winners of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy,which the title was also shared with Sri Lanka.
Mushtaq Ahmed is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer who currently acts as the spin bowling coach for the Bangladesh national cricket team. A leg break googly bowler,at his peak he was described as being one of the best three wrist-spinners in the world. In an international career that spanned from 1990 until 2003,he claimed 185 wickets in Test cricket and 161 in One Day Internationals. He was at his most prolific internationally between 1995 and 1998,but his most successful years were as a domestic player for Sussex in the early 2000s.
Jacob Joseph Martin is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed middle-order batsman. Martin has appeared 10 times for India at One Day International (ODI) level at the turn of the 21st century. He captained Baroda cricket team in the Indian domestic circuit.

Shahbaz Nadeem is an Indian former international cricketer who played as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He made his first-class cricket debut in December 2004. He played for Bihar U-14,Indian U-19s and Jharkhand. In March 2024,he announced his retirement from Indian international cricket.
Vikram Raj Vir Singh,commonly known as VRV Singh,is a former Indian cricketer who was a member of the India national cricket team. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He is considered one of the few genuine fast bowlers India has produced over the last decade. However,he was only selrctrd for seven international matches,two Tests and five One Day Internationals. After being called into the Indian squad to play Sri Lanka in 2005,he failed a fitness test and was promptly dropped. He finally played his first ODI against England at Jamshedpur. He debuted in Tests against the West Indies in June 2006. In March 2019,he announced his retirement from cricket. In August 2019,BCCI formed a separate cricket association for Chandigarh and named it Union Territory Cricket Association. VRV Singh was named as the coach of the team.

When the old state of Bihar was split into Jharkhand state and Bihar state,the Jharkhand team took the place of the Bihar cricket team,as much of the former's state's cricketing infrastructure was in Jharkhand.
