VICI Racing is a Miami, Florida and Munich, Germany-based racing team with more than 20 years of experience competing at the topmost levels of international sportscar racing.

Contents

It competes in both GT and prototype categories, in Europe and the United States. VICI Racing is a wholly owned subsidiary of the VICI Group, which is composed of technology-led companies. VICI Racing roll call of wins includes GT victory in the Daytona 24 Hours. Founder and President is former professional racing driver Ron Meixner.

2008

In 2008 VICI Racing partnered with Hughes Electronics and carried out a tire development programme in the American Le Mans Series for Kumho Tires. [1] The team carried out a full year programme. Drivers included Uwe Alzen, Nicky Pastorelli and Marc Basseng. The #18 car finished 6th in its first race of the programme, the 12 Hours of Sebring. [2] The team expanded to run 2 cars at the Utah Grand Prix, [3] the 4th round of the season.

2009

In 2009 VICI Racing ran the T-Mobile Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (2008) in the American Le Mans Series GT2 category. The team finished in 4th [4] place in the first race of their 2009 programme, the Grand Prix of Long Beach, having qualified 6th. The drivers were Richard Westbrook and Johannes Stuck (son of Hans-Joachim Stuck). The team finished in sixth place at the Utah Grand Prix [5] with Nicky Pastorelli and Johannes Stuck.The team finished fifth at the American Le Mans Northeastern Grand Prix [6] The team skipped four races between the fifth round of the series at Lime Rock Park and the season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and did not return to the series in 2010.

The 2006 Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season was the 28th overall and the third and penultimate season of the Champ Car World Series era of American open wheel racing. It began on April 9, 2006 in Long Beach, California and ended on November 12 in Mexico City, Mexico after 14 races. The Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford Drivers' Champion was Sébastien Bourdais, his third consecutive championship. He was the first driver to win three American open wheel National Championships in a row since Ted Horn in 1948. The Rookie of the Year was Will Power.

He won the 24 Hours Nürburgring four times, one time the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, in the 2008 12 Hours of Sebring, in the 2003 24 hours of Spa and in the 2007 Petit Le Mans. He is also the 2016 FIA World Endurance Champion.

Richard Westbrook is a British professional racing driver noted for his success in racing Porsche and International sports cars. As a junior, he attended St Joseph's College, Ipswich. He has won both the Porsche Supercup international championship and the Porsche Carrera Cup in his native Britain (2004). At the end of the 2007 season, Richard signed a factory contract deal with the German marque Porsche, and the British ace proceeded to take on the world's best on the other side of the Atlantic. The next year (2009), Westbrook won the highly coveted FIA GT2 Championship, taking four victories in the process, establishing himself firmly on the World motor sport stage and in the upper echelons of elite sports car drivers.

Kamui Kobayashi is a Japanese racing driver who currently competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing, Super Formula for Kids com Team KCMG, and part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 50 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI Racing. He also serves as team principal for Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe for their FIA World Endurance Championship team. Kobayashi previously competed in Formula One, Formula E, the GP2 Series, and the GP2 Asia Series. He became champion of the FIA World Endurance Championship alongside co-drivers Mike Conway and José María López in the 2019–20 season and in 2021, where he also won the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Flying Lizard Motorsports group is a motorsport team from Sonoma, California, formed by Seth Neiman in early 2003. The 2012 Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport was a multi-class sports car and GT motor race held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario, Canada on July 22, 2012. It was the fifth round of the 2012 American Le Mans Series season and the 30th Grand Prix of Mosport. The race was held a two hour and 45 minute time period, during which 117 laps of the 3.9 kilometre circuit were completed for a race distance of 463 kilometres.

Benjamin Edward Keating is an American racing driver and business owner operating out of Victoria, Texas. Keating is the owner of 28 car auto dealerships across Texas, The Keating Auto Group. Since starting auto racing in 2006, he has competed in many auto races worldwide, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona, Twelve hours of Sebring, and most recently the World Endurance Championship. He is the only American driver to have won multiple World Championships. Keating began racing in 2006 after receiving a weekend track driving course as a Christmas present from his wife.
