Valentin Schiedermair gave his debut at the sold-out Berlin Philharmonic Hall and has been developing his unique blend of virtuosity and insight in concerts, recitals and orchestral performances worldwide for more than 20 years. From the age of five he took piano lessons with Elizabeth Bleile in Heidelberg. At 16 he won first prize at the Leimen piano competition and played on German radio.[ citation needed ] At 17 years he studied with Paul Dan at the Music Academy Heidelberg-Mannheim and had lessons with Chopin-prizewinner Halina Czerny-Stefańska and her husband Ludwik Stefanski. At age 20 he won a prize in Barcelona and was chosen as one of two German students in the performing arts to continue his studies in New York City [ citation needed ] with scholarships from the Annette Kade Foundation and the Fulbright Commission. In New York he had lessons with Gary Graffman, Vladimir Horowitz's favourite pupil, who taught him much of the core classical and romantic repertoire. He continued his studies at the Vienna Music Academy under Hans Kann and then in London with Peter Wallfisch at the Royal College of Music. Master classes with virtuosos Shura Cherkassky, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Mieczyslaw Horszowski and many others completed his studies. He is now in demand for master classes in Europe and Asia where he passes on the musical tradition he experienced first hand. Recent masterclasses have taken place at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, Shenzhen University in China, the National Chiayi University in Taiwan, the Chinese Culture University and Aletheia University in Taipei as well as the Guildhall School of Music in London and the Mannheim Music Academy in Germany. His CDs 'The Romantic Spirit' and 'Poetry & Passion' with live recordings from his tours in Asia have been broadcast worldwide.
Valentin Schiedermair's solo tours of China, Taiwan and Singapore drew enthusiastic audiences in fifteen major cities. [ citation needed ] For the second year running the final concert in Taipei finished only after five encores and the University of Shenzhen awarded him a guest professorship in recognition of his contribution to the musical exchange between China and Germany. [ citation needed ] In 2012 he performed for German National Day at the parliament building in Bonn. He has performed the complete piano sonatas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert as well as the 48 Preludes & Fugues of Johann Sebastian Bach's Well Tempered Clavier and Bach's Goldberg Variations. His extensive repertoire also included his own compositions.
He died at the age of 58 in Chelmsford/ Essex.

Demus was instrumental in bringing the historic fortepiano to concert podiums. He was a member of the Legion of Honour, among many awards. He is regarded as one of the leading Austrian pianists of the immediate post-World War II era.

Christiana Lin is a Chinese-Austrian pianist and harpsichordist. Since 1994 she has been a Steinway Artist. From 1978 to 1992, she studied in Vienna, Innsbruck and Munich and was conferred the Diplom Ausgezeichnet in piano performing from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, where she studied piano under Noel Flores, and composition with Erich Urbanner. She was also conferred the Diplom Ausgezeichnet in piano performing and Diplom in music education with additional Schwerpunkt in Cembalo (harpsichord) from the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck where she studied piano under Claude-France Journès, a renowned French-German pianist, and harpsichord under Michael Jaud, an Austrian harpsichordist and organist. For several times at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg, she studied piano with the American pianist, Leon Fleisher. She also has been to the Moscow Conservatory several times, studying with Monov and Natalie Trull.

Robert Scholz was an Austrian-born American pianist, conductor, composer and teacher. He achieved fame as a pianist, especially in Austria during the Twenties and Thirties in a piano duo with his brother Heinz Scholz with whom he also published the first authoritative collection of Mozart’s works for piano. After emigrating to the United States in 1938 he became a well-known conductor and founder of the American Chamber Orchestra in New York. In 1963 the US State Department invited him to teach in Taiwan as part of a scholarly exchange program. Here he achieved lasting fame as a conductor and especially as the founding father of Taiwan's piano tradition. Most influential piano professors in Taiwan today can trace their roots back to his teachings. He died in Taipei in 1986.
Wilbur Lin is a Taiwanese–American conductor best known for his work with orchestras and operas in the United States and Taiwan. As of 2023, he is the music director of the Missouri Symphony in Columbia, Missouri, Music Director of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, and assistant conductor of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he was assistant conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and a professor at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Lin was born in New Jersey and moved to Taiwan at age six. In 2008, while attending National Taiwan Normal University, he founded the Chamber Philharmonic Taipei. Lin has conducted ensembles in Europe, Latin America, East Asia, and the United States, including the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Ballet, Manchester Camerata, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, and Richmond Symphony Orchestra of Indiana.
