Valentino Knowles (born 16 August 1988) is a Bahamian former professional boxer.
As an amateur, Knowles represented the Bahamas across various international competitions in the light welterweight division. His best performances include a gold medal at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, a silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Games and a bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He also competed at the AIBA World Boxing Championships in 2009 and 2011.
Knowles missed qualification for the 2012 Summer Olympics and soon after turned professional. [1] He fought two professional bouts in 2013, both wins, over Ruben Ozuna and Alejandro Ochoa. During this time he trained in Miami, under Orlando Cuellar. [2]
His career was ended by a shooting in 2014, outside an apartment complex in the Kemp Road area of Nassau. Shots were fired at Knowles and three other pedestrians from a vehicle which had pulled up, with the boxer struck multiple times. [3] Knowles was shot in the leg, upper right chest, chin and twice in his left hand. [4] He was sent to hospital in a serious condition but doctors were able to save his life. His leg was broken in three places and he suffered a fractured jaw. [5]
He is now a certified international amateur boxing coach. [6]
Trevor Berbick was a Jamaican Canadian professional boxer who competed from 1976 to 2000. He won the WBC heavyweight title in 1986 by defeating Pinklon Thomas, then lost it in his first defense in the same year to Mike Tyson. Berbick was also the last boxer to fight Muhammad Ali, defeating him in 1981.
Frankie Raymond Gavin is a British professional boxer. He held the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles between 2012 and 2015, and has challenged once for the IBF welterweight title in 2015. As an amateur, Gavin won a gold medal in the lightweight division at the 2007 World Championships, becoming England's first ever winner of that event. He also won lightweight gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Jermain "Choo Choo" Mackey is a Bahamian professional middle/super middle/light heavyweight boxer of the 2000s and 2010s who won the Bahamas super middleweight title, World Boxing Council (WBC) Caribbean Boxing Federation (CABOFE) super middleweight title, World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedecaribe super middleweight title, Commonwealth super middleweight title, and was a challenger for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) North American Boxing Organization (NABO) super middleweight title against Jean Pascal, WBC International super middleweight title against Adonis Stevenson, and World Boxing Association Fedelatin super middleweight title against Kirt Sinnette, his professional fighting weight varied from 160 3⁄4 lb, i.e. welterweight to 170 lb, i.e. light heavyweight.
