Valley View School District 365U (VVSD) is located about 35 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, where Interstates 55 & 355 intersect. The district comprises most of Bolingbrook and Romeoville, Illinois. Formed in 1972, the district serves the educational needs of more than 18,000 students in 20 educational facilities. Valley View School District 365U is one of Will County's largest employers, with more than 2000 full time employees.
Voters have approved several referendums proposals in the past decade, including approval by more than a 67% margin in a $142.3 million referendum in March, 2002. No additional referendums have been requested since 2002. The Equalized Assessed Valuation of the district now stands at more than $2.1 billion. Standard & Poor's (AA-) and Moody's (A1) have both upgraded the district's bond rating in late 2005. This has resulted in a lower bond interest cost for taxpayers. The financial outlook for the next several years remains positive with additional retail and industrial property development, and slowing residential construction occurring in both communities within the district boundaries.[ citation needed ]

A referendum is a direct vote by the electorate on a proposal, law, or political issue. This is in contrast to an issue being voted on by a representative. This may result in the adoption of a new policy or specific law, or the referendum may be only advisory. In some countries, it is synonymous with and also known as plebiscite, votation, popular consultation, ballot question, ballot measure, or proposition.
Bolingbrook is a village in Will and DuPage counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. It is a southwest suburb of Chicago on I-55 and Historic Route 66. The village was a new town built on the Gateway Wetlands west of the Des Plaines River in the 1960s. Bolingbrook experienced rapid growth in the 1980s and 1990s, eventually becoming Will county's second-largest town after Joliet. Per the 2020 census, the population was 73,922. As of 2010, it is the 17th largest incorporated place in Illinois and the state's second-largest village.
The Poudre School District (R-1) is a preK–12 public school district in Larimer County in northern Colorado. The district operates and manages the public schools in the city of Fort Collins, as well as in the towns of Wellington, Timnath, parts of Loveland and Windsor, and unincorporated communities of Larimer County including Laporte, Red Feather Lakes, Stove Prairie, and Livermore. The district is the eighth largest in the state and enrollment has been falling or relatively flat since 2020.

Enfield High School is a secondary school established in 1893 in Enfield, Connecticut. The Enfield High School campus is located in the Connecticut River Valley, on Enfield Street in Enfield's Historical District. The school has an enrollment of approximately 1400 students. The present facility was erected in 1964 on Enfield Street. The facility underwent a $6.2 million renovation and library addition completed in 2005, and a $103 million "as-new" renovation and significant expansion completed in 2017. In May 2010, Enfield High School and Enrico Fermi High School underwent a consolidation process as part of the restructuring and improvement plan of Enfield Public Schools. Enfield High School operates as the town's sole high school, which houses both students from Enfield High School and the previous Enrico Fermi High School, which closed its doors in 2016.
