Les Braves de Valleyfield are a Junior ice hockey team from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada. They were a part of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League for 25 seasons. Another franchise relocated and took over their market and former moniker in 2014.
The Valleyfield Braves is the second team to bear this name. The first Braves team was formed in 1944 as a Senior Amateur hockey team in the Quebec Provincial Hockey League, then moved to the Quebec Senior Hockey League in 1945 and finally as a Minor League team with the Quebec Hockey League from 1953 to 1955.
The current Valleyfield team won their first league championship in 1999. The Braves advanced to the Fred Page Cup in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The tournament was won by the Charlottetown Abbies. In 2002, the Braves returned to the Fred Page Cup in Truro, Nova Scotia. The Valleyfield Braves playing a semi-final games against the CJHL's Ottawa Jr. Senators in a must-win game between both teams. The Halifax Oland Exports got a bye to the final and were hosting the Royal Bank Cup and the Central representative was to be decided between Valleyfield and Ottawa. Ottawa won 7-2 and advanced to the Royal Bank Cup, while Valleyfield returned home. The town of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and the Valleyfield Braves were chosen to host the Fred Page Cup in 2004. The Valleyfield Braves out-powered 5th ranked St-Eustance Gladiateurs 4 games 1 in the finals. The tournament was eventually won by the CJHL's Nepean Raiders.
In 1999-00, the Valleyfield Braves played the CJHL's Brockville Braves in an inter-locking home and home series.
The Braves dissolved their QJAAAHL franchise in the Summer of 2013 to seek a membership with the semi-professional Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey. The LNAH team was also known as the Valleyfield Braves. Eleven games into the 2013-14 LNAH season, the franchise relocated to Laval and became the Laval Braves. [1]

The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey league operating in eastern Ontario, Canada. The league is sanctioned by Hockey Eastern Ontario and Hockey Canada and is a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. The winner of the CCHL playoffs competes for the Fred Page Cup — the Eastern Region championship of the Canadian Junior Hockey League — with the winners of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. The winner of the Fred Page Cup then moves on to compete for the national Centennial Cup.

In 2019, the Les Pétroliers du Nord of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey moved into Colisée de Laval after signing a five-year lease.

The Nepean Raiders are a Junior ice hockey team from Nepean, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Central Canada Hockey League. The town of Nepean was granted expansion after the Cornwall Royals and the Hull Hawks left the CJHL for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Raiders started their operations in the Valley division of the Junior "B" League in 1966, switching over to the Central Junior Hockey League in 1972.

The Charlottetown Abbies were a Tier II Junior "A" team based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. They played in the IJHL and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. Their home rink from 2003 to 2008 was the MacLauchlan Arena on the campus of UPEI. Before then, it was the Charlottetown Civic Centre.
Michel Daniel Picard is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Picard played in the National Hockey League with the Hartford Whalers, San Jose Sharks, Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, and Philadelphia Flyers. As of 2018, he serves as an amateur scout for the Blues.

The Laval Predators were an ice hockey team based in Laval, Quebec which competed in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) from 2013 to 2017. Their home arena was the historic Colisée de Laval, built in 1954 and nicknamed the "House of Pain", which seats 3500 spectators. The team originated in the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield as the Valleyfield Braves but relocated to Laval due to lackluster attendance and financial issues. The team finished the 2013–14 season as the Laval Braves before being renamed the Laval Predators for the start of the 2014–15 season. On May 31, 2017, it was announced that the Predators would cease operations.
