Vandemataram Marg (alternate spelling Vande Mataram Marg) is an arterial road in New Delhi, India. It runs through the central section of the Delhi Ridge and connects Karol Bagh to Dhaula Kuan. It was earlier called Upper Ridge Road, frequently shortened to Ridge Road, and is still often referred to by this name. For most areas of North Delhi, the shortest route to Delhi airport lies through the entire length of Vandemataram Marg. It stretches in a south-westerly direction from a roundabout at its northern (north-eastern) end, where it meets with Pusa Road (Sadhu Vaswani Marg), Arya Samaj Road, Faiz Road and Link Road, to Dhaula Kuan crossing at its southern (south-western) end. The Airport Express line of the Delhi Metro runs overhead along a 2km stretch of the road. Running through a forested area, Vandemataram Marg has been called "the greenest road of Delhi". [1]

Vande Mataram National song of India

'"Vande Mataram" is a heavily sanskiritised Bengali poem written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1870s, which he included in his 1882 Bengali novel Anandamath. The poem was first sung by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896. The first two verses of the song were adopted as the National Song of India in October 1937 by the Congress Working Committee prior to the end of colonial rule in August 1947.

Sri Aurobindo Marg

Sri Aurobindo Marg or Aurobindo Marg, is an important South Delhi north-south arterial road connecting historic Safdarjung's Tomb to Qutab Minar. The road is named for Sri Aurobindo Ghosh; the Delhi campus of Sri Aurobindo Ashram is located on the road. The road was originally known as Mehrauli Road.

Safdarjung Road is a main road in New Delhi, India, named after the 18th century Tomb of Safdarjung near it. At the north end, the road stretches from the junction of the Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, Rajaji Marg and Lok Kalyan Marg, which is a roundabout. At the south end it stretches up to the junction of Prithviraj Road, Tughlaq Road and Sri Aurobindo Marg. The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan is a public school located at Delhi, India. It is operated under Indian Army supervision under the aegis of Indian Army welfare Education society (AWES). It is part of the chain of Indian Army Public Schools.

The Geeta and Sanjay Chopra kidnapping case was a kidnapping and murder crime in New Delhi in 1978. It involved the kidnapping and the subsequent murder of siblings Geeta and Sanjay by Kuljeet Singh and Jasbir Singh. The children were kidnapped for ransom but, on learning their father was a naval officer, both were killed. Geeta was allegedly raped before being murdered, but forensic evidence could not confirm it. The kidnappers had initially admitted to raping her but later retracted the statement. The two kidnappers were convicted and sentenced to death. The execution was carried out in 1982. Crime Patrol Dial 100 aired two episodes 723 & 724 on Sony TV based on the story on Feb 28, 2018 and Mar 1, 2018. The case was also shown on TV series Bhanwar which was based on real life court cases.

Roads in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar has roads in grid form in the central city. Bhubaneswar has approximately 1,600 kilometres (990 mi) of roads, with average road density of 11.82 square kilometres (4.56 sq mi). Baramunda Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is the major bus terminus in the city from where buses ply to all the districts in Odisha as well as to neighbouring state's cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Raipur and Ranchi. City bus service runs in public-private partnership between Bhubaneswar-Puri Transport Service Limited (BPTSL) and Dream Team Sahara (DTS) under JNNURM scheme. A fleet of 185 buses cover all major destinations including Cuttack, Puri and Khordha. Auto rickshaws are available for hire and on a share basis throughout the city. In parts of the city, cycle rickshaws offer short trips. To ease traffic jams, over-bridges at major road junctions and expansion of roads are under construction. In a study of six cities in India, Bhubaneswar was ranked third concerning pedestrian infrastructure. The city scored 50 points out of maximum 100. The government of Odisha introduced the much-awaited Bhubaneswar BRTS in Bhubaneswar.

Benito Juárez Marg is a major road in South Delhi near Dhaula Kuan. Named after the Mexican politician Benito Juárez, it is approximately 2 Kilometers long and connects the Rao Tula Ram Marg with the Ring Road. The road is notable as the South Campus of Delhi University is located along the road. The other side has a number of diplomatic missions and residential areas.
