Varner Arena (formerly Risenga Ishall) is an indoor ice hockey arena, located in Asker, Norway. The 3,650-spectator arena serves as the home of Fjordkraft-ligaen side Frisk Asker Ishockey.

Construction on the new arena started on September 3, 2019, [2] and Varner Arena had its official opening on 19 February 2022 against Stavanger Oilers, Frisk Asker also won 3-2 after overtime.  The construction of the ice rink started in the autumn of 2019. Varner Arena has a spectator capacity of 3800 spectators, approximately divided into 3150 seats, 500 standing places and 150 restaurant guests.  The track width is 26 meters, which is an «NHL goal».  Varner Arena has a parking basement with space for about 200 cars.

Frisk Asker Ice Hockey has entered into an agreement with the fashion group Varner-Gruppen in 2022, which means that the club's new arena will be called Varner Arena. The agreement has a framework of 10 years.

They are based in the municipality of Asker, around 20 km from Oslo, and play their home games in Varner Arena. The team colours are orange, black and white.

Eidsiva Arena, also known as Kristins Hall, is an arena located at Stampesletta in Lillehammer, Norway. It consist of an ice rink, a combined handball and floorball court, and a curling rink. The venue, owned and operated by the Lillehammer Municipality, opened in 1988 and cost 65 million Norwegian krone (NOK) to build. One of the motivations for its construction was to help Lillehammer's bid to be selected as the host of the 1994 Winter Olympics. The ice rink has a capacity for 3,194 spectators and is the home rink of GET-ligaen hockey club Lillehammer IK. Eidsiva Arena is located next to the larger Håkons Hall, which opened in 1993. Jordal Amfi was an indoor ice hockey rink in Oslo, Norway, the first bearing that name. The venue opened in 1951 to host the 1952 Winter Olympics. Jordal was also the site of the 1958 and the 1999 IIHF World Championship. It would in the following decades also serve several boxing matches and concerts.

The 2009–10 GET-ligaen was the 71st season of Norway's premier ice hockey league, Eliteserien. The regular season began play on 12 September 2009 and concluded on 2 March 2010, with Vålerenga claiming their twenty-seventh League Championship after defeating Lillehammer 2–1 on 26 February. Vålerenga won the league twelve points ahead of the Sparta Warriors, who were defending champions. The league was contested by ten teams until Comet folded in October 2009, leaving nine teams to finish the regular season.
