Vatoli is a village in Telangana state of India. It was in news when it witnessed communal riots and tension in 2008 when all members of a Muslim family were burned by miscreants. Vatoli was then part of Adilabad district of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The Vatoli incident evoked strong condemnation from all political parties including the Telugu Desam, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Congress and the BJP. The then Andhra Pradesh government ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident of burning alive of a family but no subsequent corrective development took place later. [1]
Adilabad District Sessions Court judge Aruna Sarika quashed the case against the nine accused arrested in this connection, all members of Hindu Vahini due to lack of proper technical and scientific evidence produced by the Indian investigation agency CB CID. [2]
The Telugu Desam Party is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao (N.T.R.) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu speakers. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the main opposition party in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

For years, he has been regularly listed by Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC), among the 500 Most Influential Muslims of the world.
Pendyala Varavara Rao is an Indian activist, poet, teacher, and writer from Telangana, India. He is an accused in the 2018 Bhima Koregaon violence and has been arrested under the non-bailable Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Rao was arrested on the charge of plotting to assassinate Indian prime minister, possibly based upon planted evidence. In August 2022, he was released on bail by the Supreme Court of India, on medical grounds.
Bhainsa is a town in Nirmal district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is the headquarters of Bhainsa mandal and Bhainsa revenue division. It is bordered with Bhokar Thaluka, Nanded Jilla, Maharashtra State on west and Nizamabad district on South. Bhainsa is located at 19.1000°N 77.9667°E. It has an average elevation of 363 meters (1194 feet).
Elegaon is a village located in Bhainsa Mandal in the Adilabad district of Telangana State in India. It has a population of around 3000. Elegaon Gram panchayat contains 10 wards and two neighboring villages, Badgaon and Sirala.
The Hashimpura massacre was the killing of 50 Muslim men by police on or around 22 May 1987 near Meerut in Uttar Pradesh state, India, during the 1987 Meerut communal riots. It was reported that 19 personnel of the Provincial Armed Constabulary rounded up 42 Muslim youths from the Hashimpura mohalla (locality) of the city, took them to the outskirts of the city, shot them in cold blood and dumped their bodies in a nearby irrigation canal. A few days later, the dead bodies were found floating in the canal and a case of murder was registered. Eventually, 19 men were accused of having performed the act. In May 2000, 16 of the 19 accused surrendered and were later released on bail. Whereas, the other three accused died in the intervening period. In 2002, the Supreme Court of India ordered that the case trial should be transferred from the Ghaziabad district court to a Sessions Court at the Tis Hazari court complex in Delhi.
Malik Motasim Khan is Member of Central Advisory Council of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He was the President of Andhra Pradesh Chapter of Welfare Party of India. He was the Ameer-e-Halqa of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa during 2007–2011. He was also the National President of SIO for two terms from 1995 to 1999.
Akbaruddin Owaisi is an Indian politician and leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party in Telangana. Since 2014, he has been MLA of the Chandrayangutta constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Owaisi was appointed as the Chairman of Telangana Public Accounts Committee in 2019.
Jogu Ramanna is an Indian politician who was the Minister of Forest and Environment & Backward Classes Welfare of Telangana from 2 June 2014 to 6 September 2018. He is a Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Adilabad constituency since 2 June 2014. He was earlier a member of Telugu Desam Party. He is an M.L.A. from Adilabad assembly constituency from past four times 2018, 2014, 2012 by elections and 2009 also.
The 2012 Telangana protests were a chain of protests which were part of the Telangana movement. The Bharatiya Janata Party, led by state-party president Kishan Reddy, began the 22-day Telangana "Poru Yatra" – a 3,500-kilometre (2,200 mi) journey through 986 villages and 88 assembly constituencies stressing the need for a stance on Telangana stance – on 19 January. Although the tour was successful in reiterating the party's pro-Telangana stance, it did not gain the hoped-for support because of the indifferent attitude of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana Joint Action Committee. The TRS' failure to support Reddy's yatra has resulted in increasing differences between the parties. Two assembly by-elections were held that year, the first in March, and the second in June; the BJP won the first, and the YSR Congress Party the second. Protests resumed in August, when K. Chandrashekar Rao gave the centre a two-week deadline to declare statehood.
Adilabad district is a district located in the northern region of Telangana, India. It is known as the gateway district to South and Central India. The town of Adilabad is its headquarters. The district shares boundaries with Asifabad, Nirmal districts and with the state boundary of Maharashtra.
Samudrala Venugopal Chary is an Indian politician and was Member of Parliament of India for three consecutive terms. He was a member of the 11th, 12th and the 13th Lok Sabhas. Chary was also a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Chary represented the Adilabad constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi political party.
Allola Indrakaran Reddy is an Indian politician who is the current Minister of State for Endowments, Law and Forest, Environment, Science and Technology of Telangana since 2019. He was elected as MLA of Nirmal in 2014 General Election as BSP candidate and won over Sri Hari Rao by margin of 10,000 votes. He later joined the TRS Party and became Minister in charge of law, housing and endowments. He was Member of Parliament of India. He was a member of the 10th and 14th Lok Sabhas. Reddy represented the Adilabad constituency of United Andhra Pradesh.
T. Raja Singh is an Indian politician from the state of Telangana. He is the incumbent MLA of the Telangana Legislative Assembly representing the Goshamahal Assembly constituency in Hyderabad. He started his political career in Telugu Desam Party until he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014. He was part of the BJP until 23 August 2022 when he was suspended over allegations of insulting the Islamic prophet Muhammad amid the 2022 Muhammad remarks controversy. Singh had served as the party whip of BJP for the state of Telangana.
Nirmal district is a district located in the northern region of the Indian state of Telangana. The district headquarters is located in the town of Nirmal. It borders the Telangana districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Mancherial, Asifabad, Jagtial districts as well as Nanded district of the state Maharashtra.
Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress party. In 2014, he was elected as an MLA from Kalwakurthy constituency, situated in Mahbubnagar district of Telangana, India. Before being elected as an MLA, he was the President of Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress.
In November 2019, the gang rape and murder of a 26-year-old veterinary doctor in Shamshabad, near Hyderabad, sparked outrage across India. Her body was found in Shadnagar on 28 November 2019, the day after she was murdered. Four suspects were arrested and, according to the Cyberabad Metropolitan Police, confessed to having raped and killed the doctor.
A Tablighi Jamaat religious congregation that took place in Delhi's Nizamuddin Markaz Mosque in early March 2020 was a COVID-19 super-spreader event, with more than 4,000 confirmed cases and at least 27 deaths linked to the event reported across the country. Over 9,000 missionaries may have attended the congregation, with the majority being from various states of India, and 960 attendees from 40 foreign countries. On 18 April, 4,291 confirmed cases of COVID-19 linked to this event by the Union Health Ministry represented a third of all the confirmed cases of India. Around 40,000 people, including Tablighi Jamaat attendees and their contacts, were quarantined across the country.
