Vellala is a small village in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. [1] It is near the town of Proddutur in the Kadapa District. The village got its name from the locally famous "Vellala Sanjevaraswami ", a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. This temple is at the place where Lord Hanuman stopped for some water while flying to Lanka carrying the Sanjivani mountain.
Hanuman Temple is an ancient Hindu temple in Connaught Place, New Delhi, India, and is claimed to be one of the five temples from the days of the Mahabharata in Delhi. The other four temples are the Kalkaji, a Kali temple in South Delhi containing Swayambu rock Idol, the Yogmaya Temple near Qutub Minar, the Bhairav temple near the Purana Qila and the Nili Chatri Mahadev at Nigambodh Ghat outside the walls of Old Delhi.
Alathiyur Hanuman Temple, also known as Alathiyur Perumthrikkovil or Hanuman Kavu is a famous Hindu temple located between the Ponnani River and the Bharathappuzha at Alathiyur near Tirur, Malappuram district, Kerala state, India. Although the main deity is Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu, Hanuman, believed to be an incarnation of Shiva and a devotee of Rama and a Chiranjivi, is as famous as the main deity in the temple. Also reside in the temple as sub-deities of equal importance: Lakshmana, Ganesha, Maha Vishnu, Durga, Bhadrakali, Ayyappan, and Naga deities. According to legend, the idol of Hanuman was consecrated 3000 years ago by Sage Vasishtha, one of the Saptarishis. Over the years, the custodians of the temple were the Alathiyur village Nambudiri Clan, the King of Vettathunad, and the Samuthiri of Kozhikode. Aval is the main offering in this temple. The main annual event here is the festival held on the days corresponding with the Stars of Pooradam, Uthradam and Thiruvonam in the month of Thulam corresponding to mid-October to mid-November. The month of Karkidakam, corresponding to mid-July and mid-August, popularly called the Ramayana month, is usually crowded. The weekdays of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are also important as they are considered auspicious for Hanuman. The temple is administered by a Trust under the Malabar Devaswom Board, with the Samuthiri royalty as the Chief Trustee. This is believed to be the most important temple among the temples under the administration of the Malabar Devaswom Board.

Paritala Anjaneya Temple is a temple residing a statue of Bhagavan Hanuman. The status of this statue being the second tallest one dedicated to Bhagavan Hanuman in the world has been replaced by another statue located at Manav Bharti University, Solan, with a height of 155 ft and 2 inches. The current record is held by the statue in Madapam, Srikakulam district on the banks of the river Vamsadhara in North Andhra. It has also been awarded by the Limca Book of Records. The temple is located in the village of Paritala on NH-65, approximately 30 km from the city of Vijayawada, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The statue was installed in the year 2003 and stands 135 feet tall.
Makaradhwaja is the son of Hindu god Hanuman who is born out of his sweat. Makaradhwaja has appearance in various regional versions of the Ramayana. There are many unmatching accounts of his birth, however all of them mentions him being born to a Makara after Hanuman took a dip into the ocean and his sweat drop fell into the mouth of the Makara, impregnating her. Makara begets Makaradhwaja who was later raised by the Ahiravana, a demon king who ruled Patala who was one of Ravana’s brothers.
