Vereor Deus, Non Dogma (Latin for Fear God, Not Dogma) is an extended play from Mayfly. Voluminous Records released the EP on February 11, 2014.

Mayfly was an American Christian metal band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2011. They have released one extended play, Vereor Deus, Non Dogma, in 2014, with Voluminous Records. On March 14, 2017, the band announced that had disbanded.

Awarding the EP three and a half stars for Jesus Freak Hideout, Michael Weaver states, "Vereor Deus Non Dogma is nowhere close to perfect, but it does offer up quite a few enjoyable moments." [5] Ian Webber, rating the EP an eight out of ten at Cross Rhythms, writes, "this short release is worth seeking out." [2] Giving the EP two stars from HM Magazine , Collin Simula says, "this EP leaves the listener wanting much more." [3]

Cross Rhythms is a Christian media organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It operates an FM and online radio station, produces radio shows sent internationally, and its website has resources on contemporary Christian music.

HM Magazine is a monthly, digital and print on demand publication focusing on hard music and alternative culture of interest to Christians. The magazine states that its goal is to "honestly and accurately cover the current state of hard music and alternative culture from a faith-based perspective." It is known for being one of the first magazines dedicated to covering Christian metal. The magazine's content includes features; news; album, live show and book reviews, culture coverage and columns. HM's occasional "So and So Says" feature is known for getting into artists' deeper thoughts on Jesus Christ, spirituality, politics and other controversial topics.

Signaling in a three star review for Indie Vision Music, Lee Brown responds, "Mayfly brings a sound that is influenced by the past, but is perfectly timed to help shape the future of heavy music." [4] Topher Parks, indicating in a four star review at Jesus Wired, recognizes, "Vereor Deus Non Dogma has its strengths as well as its flaws". [6] Assigning the EP four stars from The Christian Music Review Blog, Brad Johnson replies, "the production quality on this EP was great, it was not excellent." [1]
