Veronica Falls were a British indie pop band that formed in London in 2009. The band consisted of Roxanne Clifford and James Hoare, both on vocals and guitar, Marion Herbain on bass guitar and Patrick Doyle on drums and backing vocals. The members of the band were formerly in the bands The Royal We and Sexy Kids. The band released several singles in the United Kingdom and the United States throughout the 2010s.
Veronica Falls came to prominence with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2011. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 150. [1]
In 2009, Roxanne Clifford and Patrick Doyle from Sexy Kids teamed up with James Hoare of Your Twenties. Clifford and Doyle met Hoare at a Comet Gain show. [2] After a meeting with Hoare, their friend Marion Herbain accepted to join the band to form Veronica Falls.
In 2010, Veronica Falls released two singles, "Found Love in a Graveyard" and "Beachy Head", on the American label Captured Tracks. [2]
After releasing their first two singles, the band recorded with veteran producer Guy Fixsen. [2] They released their debut album Veronica Falls in September 2011 on Slumberland Records in the United States and Bella Union in the European Union, to generally favorable reviews. [3] The album was preceded by the release of a single, "Bad Feeling", in August 2011. [2]
In February 2013, the band released their second album, Waiting for Something to Happen. [4] It was co-produced by Rory Attwell. The album's release was preceded by the "My Heart Beats" and "Teenage" singles in 2012. [2] A music video for "Teenage" was released in November 2012.
Since 2014, individual members of the band have been involved in separate projects. James Hoare formed The Proper Ornaments with Max Claps and released the album Wooden Head in 2014. [5] He then co-led the band Ultimate Painting until the band's split in February 2018. Drummer Patrick Doyle worked under the name Boys Forever and released a self-titled album on 5 August 2016. [6] Singer Roxanne Clifford began to release music as Patience in 2016. [7] Patrick Doyle died on 4 March 2018. [8]

Creedence Clearwater Revival, commonly abbreviated as CCR or simply Creedence, was an American rock band formed in El Cerrito, California. The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. These members had played together since 1959, first as the Blue Velvets and later as the Golliwogs, before settling on Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967. The band's most prolific and successful period between 1969 and 1971 produced fourteen consecutive Top 10 singles and five consecutive Top 10 albums in the United States, two of which – Green River (1969) and Cosmo's Factory (1970) – topped the Billboard 200 chart. The band performed at the 1969 Woodstock festival in Upstate New York, and was the first major act signed to appear there.
The Dumdums were a British guitar-pop band. London-based, they split up in August 2001. The band members were Josh Doyle – vocals and guitar, Steve Clarke – bass and vocals, Stuart 'Baxter' Wilkinson – drums and vocals.

Senses Fail is an American rock band formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 2001. Founded by vocalist Buddy Nielsen, drummer Dan Trapp, guitarists Garrett Zablocki and Dave Miller, and bassist James Gill ; the band has seen many lineup changes, with Nielsen being the only consistent member. The band has released eight studio albums, two EPs, and one live album.

It was written from the point of view of a man who falls in love with a prostitute. When re-released on 12 April 1979, the song peaked at No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart.
LCD Soundsystem is an American electronic rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2002 by James Murphy, co-founder of DFA Records. The band comprises Murphy, Nancy Whang, Pat Mahoney (drums), Tyler Pope, Al Doyle, Matt Thornley, and Korey Richey. The track reached number 32 on the UK Singles Chart, number 80 in the Netherlands, and came in at number 64 on Australia's Triple J Hottest 100 in 2003. The single release includes "Love on the March", which the band recorded with Divine Comedy producer Darren Allison.

The Hoad brothers formed a related hard rock band, the Rich and Famous, in 2002. This group also issued three studio albums, The Rich and Famous (2004), Like a Superstar (2006) and Stand Back... Prepare to Be Amazed! (2007), and broke up in 2009. Thereafter the brothers were estranged and no longer worked together. In 2010 elder brother Clifford formed Clifford Hoad's Kings of the Sun, which has issued three albums, Rock Til Ya Die (2013), Razed on Rock (2016) and Playin' to the Heavens (2017). Jeffrey resumed the Rich and Famous band in the mid-2010s, which became inactive by the end of that decade.
Ultimate Painting were an English alternative rock band, formed in London in 2014. The band was composed of co-frontmen Jack Cooper and James Hoare, with a revolving cast of rhythm sections. The band were named after a painting made by the Drop City art community in Colorado in the late 1960s.
