Victor Krummenacher (born April 7, 1965) is an American bass guitarist and guitarist. He is a founding member of alternative rock band Camper Van Beethoven.
In addition to co-founding Camper Van Beethoven, Krummenacher is also a co-founder of CVB offshoot Monks of Doom, and The Third Mind (with Dave Alvin, David Immerglück, Michael Jerome and Jesse Sykes). He has also worked as a member of the Portland based band Eyelids, Two Heads (with John Moremen, Willie Aron and DJ Bonebrake of X), and Camper Van Chadbourne.
As a recording artist, Krummenacher has been active for more than 30 years and has appeared live and in the studio with numerous projects including Cracker, M. Ward, The Illustrious Ancestors (with John Kruth), Pat Thomas' Mushroom and McCabe and Mrs. Miller, a duo formed in 2008 with Alison Faith Levy of The Loud Family.
Krummenacher has pursued a solo career as a singer-songwriter since 1994. His tenth solo album excluding compilations is, Silver Smoke of Dreams, released on October 15, 2021. As of 2021[update], Krummenacher resides in Portland, Oregon.
In addition to his musical career, Krummenacher was previously art director of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, a managing art director for Wired and is currently a freelance art director for print, digital and video.

Cracker is an American rock band, formed in 1990 by lead singer David Lowery and guitarist Johnny Hickman. Camper Van Beethoven is an American rock band formed in Redlands, California in 1983, later based in Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Their style mixes elements of pop, ska, punk, folk, alternative, country, and world music, amongst other genres. The band initially polarized audiences within the hardcore punk scene of California's Inland Empire and then found wider acceptance and, eventually, an international audience. Their strong iconoclasm and emphasis on do-it-yourself values proved influential to the burgeoning indie rock movement.

A versatile musician, Immerglück plays mandolin, pedal steel guitar, bass, slide guitar, electric sitar, keyboards, and sings.
Gregory Allen Lisher is the lead guitar player for Camper Van Beethoven. He is also one of the founding members of the Camper Van Beethoven spin-off Indy prog rock group Monks of Doom.
John Kruth is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist best known for his highly energetic "Banshee Mandolin” style of playing. He has also worked as a music journalist and has authored several book about popular music.
Christopher Xefos is an American multi-instrumentalist musician/engineer/producer and former member of band King Missile. He plays various instruments such as accordion, bass, piano, and synthesizer, among others. He began recording/producing various groups in New York City during the 1980s, including indie-rock legends Phantom Tollbooth. In 1989, he joined the New York City avant-garde spoken word/art rock group King Missile. Five years, four albums and a number of alternative rock “hits” later, King Missile disbanded. Xefos also played with the group When People Were Shorter and Lived Near the Water during this time. Following this period, he relocated to San Francisco.
Chris Pedersen is an American-born musician, best known as the drummer of the groups Camper Van Beethoven and Monks of Doom. He currently resides in Australia.
Moth Wranglers was a musical collaboration formed in 1998 by Chris Xefos, and LD Beghtol. The duo took their name from the credits for Jonathan Demme's 1991 thriller Silence of the Lambs. In their decade-long involvement, the pair created two albums and a number of other one-off recordings and live performances, mostly working separately in different studios. Guest musicians figure prominently on moth wranglers' recordings, Ken Stringfellow of The Posies, Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields, Doug Hilsinger and other noted rock/pop musicians of an experimental bent as well as multi-instrumentalist/mentalist/author Daniel Handler. The moth wranglers' song “Dear Santa ” — featuring Kendall Jane Meade — was used in the 2008 Irish feature film “How About You”, directed by Anthony Byrne and starring Vanessa Redgrave, Joss Akland and Hayley Atwell. moth wranglers disbanded in 2010.
The Monks of Doom is an American alternative rock band, formed in California in 1986. The band's music draws from post-punk, progressive rock, indie rock, psychedelic and folk rock traditions. The group is a side project of the band Camper Van Beethoven, with whom all Monks of Doom members have been involved.
La Costa Perdida is the 8th studio release by the American alternative-music band Camper Van Beethoven. It was released on January 22, 2013, and contains 10 tracks. The lead-off single from the album, "Northern California Girls", was released on January 1, 2013. This album focuses on Northern California in its lyrics and artwork and is paired with the following year's release El Camino Real, another concept album about Southern California.
