Breakdancing or breaking, also called b-boying or b-girling (women), is a style of street dance originated by African Americans with notable contributions from Puerto Ricans in the Bronx.
The Red Bull BC One is an annual international breakdancing (B-Boy) competition, established in 2004. The competition is organised by the beverage company Red Bull. Its first event was held in Biel, Switzerland in 2004.
Mark Lee McMorris is a Canadian professional snowboarder who specializes in slopestyle and big air events. A three-time Olympic bronze medallist, he placed third in each of the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2018 Winter Olympics, and 2022 Winter Olympics in the slopestyle event. While filming for Transworld Snowboarding's "Park Sessions" video in March 2011, Mark became the first person to land a Backside Triple Cork 1440. More recently, on April 28, 2018, Mark landed the world's first Double Cork off a rail, the Front-Board Double Cork 1170, with a melancholy grab. Mark McMorris has won a record-setting 22 X Games medals, In 2012 and 2013, Mark won back-to-back gold medals in Winter X Games in the slopestyle event. In 2023 he defended his Winter X Games gold medal in the men's slopestyle to set a record for the most Winter X Games medals with 22.
Adam George Peaty is an English competitive swimmer who specialises in the breaststroke. He won the gold medal in the 100 metre breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics, the first by a male British swimmer in 24 years, and retained the title at the 2020 Summer Olympics in 2021, the first British swimmer ever to retain an Olympic title.
Noah Lyles is an American professional track and field sprinter who competes in the 60 meters, 100 meters and 200 meters. His personal best of 19.31 seconds in the 200 m is the American record, and makes him the third fastest of all-time in the event. He is a one-time Olympic champion and six-time world champion.
Lakshya Sen is an Indian badminton player. He's a former World Junior No. 1. Sen is a bronze medalist at the World Championships, a gold medalist at the Thomas Cup, a silver medalist at the Asian Games and a gold and silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games. He has also won bronze medals at the Asia Team and Asia Mixed Team Championships. Sen won the Canada Open and was the runner-up at the All England Open. At the junior level, he has won a gold and silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games, a bronze medal at World Junior Championships and a gold and bronze medal at Asia Junior Championships.
Eileen Feng Gu, also known by her Chinese name Gu Ailing (谷爱凌), is a freestyle skier. Born in the United States, she has competed for China in halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air events since 2019.
Stephen John Nedoroscik is an American artistic gymnast. A pommel horse specialist, he is a two-time Olympic medalist, the 2021 world champion—the first and only American to win the event—a two-time FIG World Cup champion, a four-time U.S. national champion, and a two-time NCAA national champion for the apparatus.
Jerome Blake is a Canadian track and field athlete specializing in the sprint events. As a member of the Canadian 4 × 100 m relay team, he is the 2024 Olympic gold medallist, 2020 Olympic silver medallist and the 2022 World champion.
Ayumi Fukushima, also known as Ayumi, is a Japanese breakdancer. She competed at the 2022 World Games in the dancesport competition, winning the bronze medal in the B-Girls event. In 2021, Fukushima won the world championship in a competition in France. She also participated at a Red Bull BC One competition. Ayumi works as a schoolteacher.
Ami Yuasa, also known mononymously as Ami, is a Japanese breakdancer and Olympic gold medalist. She is the winner of the 2018 and 2023 Red Bull BC One world championship and the WDSF World Breaking Champions 2019 and 2022. She is a member of the Good Foot Crew.
Grace Sun "Sunny" Choi is an American breakdancer who competed in the inaugural breaking competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She previously performed as a youth gymnast and a director at Estée Lauder before leaving to pursue breaking full-time. Choi participated at the 2022 World Games in the dancesport competition where she won the silver medal in the B-Girls event. In 2023, she won the first gold medal in breakdancing ever given at the Pan American Games. Because of that, she became the first American woman to qualify for Olympic breaking.
Shigeyuki Nakarai, also known mononymously as Shigekix, is a Japanese bboy. He participated at the 2022 World Games in the dancesport competition where he won the bronze medal in the B-Boys event. In 2023, he won the gold for the men's breakdancing event in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, and a day later, was chosen to be Japan's flag bearer in the closing ceremony of the games., on July 1, 2024, the Japanese Olympic Committee was designated to him and the female fencer Misaki Emura as the flag bearers to París 2024 Olympic Games.
The United States of America (USA), represented by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. U.S. athletes have appeared in every Summer Olympic Games of the modern era, except for the 1980 edition in Moscow, when America led a sixty-six-nation boycott in protest of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Kateryna Pavlenko also known as B-Girl Kate, is a Ukrainian breakdancer. She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics and lost in the quarter-finals.
Sun Chen is a Taiwanese breakdancer. Nicknamed "Quake", he competed for Chinese Taipei at the 2022 Asian Games and later qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he served as the Taiwanese co-flag bearer.
Amir Zakirov is a Kazakh breakdancer. After winning multiple breakdancing competitions, including the 2021 Red Bull BC One, he qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics. He was named to the Forbes Kazakhstan 30 Under 30 list in 2022.

Vanessa Marina Cartaxo Farinha is a Portuguese breaker. She represented Portugal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the first time breaking was featured at the games.
