John Chrysestom Muyingo is a Ugandan educator and politician. He is the State Minister for Higher Education in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. He previously served as the State Minister for Primary Education from 1 March 2015 until 5 June 2016. Before that, from 27 May 2011 until 1 March 2015, he served as the State Minister for Higher Education, having replaced Mwesigwa Rukutana in May 2011. Muyingo was also the elected Member of Parliament for Bamunanika County, Luweero District. In the 2021 general elections he lost the seat to his former campaign manager and personal assistant, Robert Ssekitoleko who run on the National Unity Platform party ticket.
Christine Dranzoa was a Ugandan university professor, academic administrator, biologist, terrestrial ecologist and community leader. She was, at the time of her death, the Vice Chancellor of Muni University, one of the public universities in Uganda.

Consolata Kabonesa is an Ugandan gender activist with a specialised experience in the women and gender programming, gender training, project and research within the decentralized system. She is also an Assoc. Prof at the School of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University.
Deborah Hope Kasente is a Ugandan writer and academic who focusses on women's rights. She is the co-founder of the School of Women and Gender Studies at Makerere University.
Grace Bantebya Kyomuhendo is a Ugandan professor of Women and Gender Studies, advocate for gender equality, social transformation and respect for women’s rights. She is also a social anthropologist, feminist and social norms researcher and a lecturer at Makerere University. Her and Marjorie Keniston McIntosh authored a book called Women, Work and Domestic Virtue in Uganda 1900-2003 which won the Aidoo-Snyder Prize.
