St Ives is a medieval market town and civil parish in the Huntingdonshire district in Cambridgeshire, England, 5 miles (8 km) east of Huntingdon and 12 miles (19 km) north-west of Cambridge. St Ives is historically in the county of Huntingdonshire.

Newmarket Road continues a short way towards the city centre, becoming Maid's Causeway and then Jesus Lane. To the east, the road becomes the A1303 and crosses the A14 at a major roundabout, continuing further east and parallel to the A14 out of the city. The road is named after the market town of Newmarket in Suffolk, east of Cambridge.
Histon Road is an arterial road linking central Cambridge, England with the A14 road north of the city. The road is designated the B1049. At the southern end, the road links with Huntingdon Road (A1307), Victoria Road (A1134), Mount Pleasant, and Castle Street. At the northern end of the road it continues just south of the A14 as Cambridge road into the village of Impington.
The Church of St Giles is a Grade II*-listed church in Cambridge, England. It is a Church of England parish church in the Parish of the Ascension of the Diocese of Ely, located on the junction of Castle Street and Chesterton Road. It was completed and consecrated by the Bishop of Ely in 1875, to replace an earlier church founded in 1092. The church, which added "with St Peter" to its appellation when the neighbouring St Peter's Church became redundant, is home to both an Anglican and a Romanian Orthodox congregation and is used as a venue for concerts and other events. The church is kept open daily for visitors.
