Vijayanagar and Hebbal are two areas of Mysore city in India. the growth of technology-related industry in the first decade of the 21st century has resulted in the city emerging as the second largest software exporter in the state of Karnataka, next to Bangalore. [1] [2]

History

Traditionally, Mysore has been home to industries such as weaving, sandalwood carving, bronze work, and the production of lime and salt. [3] [4]

Vijayanagar First Stage

Located Northwest of Hunsur Road aka NH275 and South of High Tension double Road, Vijayanagar 1st stage is one of the prominent localities in Mysore due to proximity towards Infosys campus Yoga Narasimhaswamy Temple, Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering, Vidya Vardhaka Polytechnic, MUDA Sports ground and Cosmopolitan club are some popular landmarks in the locality [6] [7] [8] [9]

Vijayanagar Second Stage

Located North of Hunsur Road aka NH275 and South of High Tension double Road, Vijayanagar is one of the prominent localities in Mysore. Ring Road aka NH 275K marks the Western boundary of the Layout. Sankranti Cirle, Vijayanagar Water Tank, Podar International School, Headquarters of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation, IT centre of Karnataka Gramin Bank (formerly Headquarters of Kaveri Grameena Bank), Sangam Circle, Krishnadevaraya Circle, Hampi Circle and Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering MBA Cell are the remarkable locations. Vijayanagar Third Stage

Located North of Vijayanagar fourth stage, South of Hinkal and east of Ring Road aka NH 275K, 3rd stage is home for Sri Saptamatrika Chowdeshwari Temple, Sangam Circle, Vijayashripura, Basavaraja Circle, Mahaveera Circle. Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering campus marks the Eastern Boundary for 3rd stage. [15] [16] Vijayanagar Third Stage was included to Corporation limits on October 19, 2021. [17]

Vijayanagar fourth stage (first phase)

Also known as Garudachar layout, the first phase of Vijayanagar fourth stage is located South of Vijayanagar third stage and east of Mysore Ring Road aka NH 275K. Twin Neem Tree, Mahalakshmi Bhandar are the Bus stops located here. Royal Concorde International School, Sri Adichunchanagiri Math, Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, Jaggesh Convention hall, and the Heritage Club are popular locations in this Community. Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering campus marks the Eastern Boundary for 3rd stage. Bhogadi 2nd stage is the Southern boundary for the Area. [18]

Vijayanagar fourth stage (second phase)

Also known as Vinayaka layout, it is located along 80 Feet Road. Second phase is urbanized between Belawadi Road and Mysore Ring Road, which marks Western and Eastern boundary. Marimallappa Educational Institution, Swami Vivekananda Educational Institution, National Public School, Govt first grade college, Sankalp Temple trees are popular sites here. Hootagalli 3rd phase (which is often referred as Vijayanagar fourth stage – 3rd phase) is the Northern Boundary. RMP Layout, Preethi Layout, Deepa Nagar marks the Southern boundary for the Area. In November 2020, Kadakola was upgraded from a Gram Panchayat to a Town Panchayat and a gazetted notification was passed on November 26, 2020. The notification combines Rammanahalli GP villages, Nadanahalli and Alanahalli of Alanahalli GP, Hanchya and Sathagalli villages of Hanchya GP, covering a total area of 22.81 sq. km. Hootagalli or Hutagalli is a city and a Suburb of Mysore, situated in Mysuru metropolitan area ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ of Karnataka, India. Hootagalli is located in the outskirts of the city of Mysuru and forms a continuous urban area. Hootagalli city municipal council consists of previous census towns of Hinkal, Hootagalli and Gram Panchyats of Koorgalli and Belavadi totally covering an area of 28.48 square km. In November 2020, the government of Karnataka approved the formation of Hootagalli City Municipal Council by merging four gram panchayats. The initial plan was to include it with MCC to form Greater Mysuru City Corporation (BMMP) however, due to MCC disputing the proposal, a separate body was created. According to 2011 census, the city municipal council has combined population of 56,876. On November 26, 2020, a gazetted notification was passed making the CMC official.

Agrahara Circle, officially known as N. Madhava Rao Circle, is a street circle and a suburb in the southern Indian city of Mysore in Karnataka.

Agrahara is an area of the city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka in India. Famous locations in Agrahara include Mysore Palace as well as several gardens and historic temples. The area is bounded by Albert Victor Road to the North, MG Road to the South, Bengaluru-Nilgiri Road to the East, and Cheluvamba Agrahara Road to the West. The term agrahara or agraharam refers to a grant of land and agricultural income made by royalty to Brahmins in pre-independence South India.
