Vinod Bala (Vinoo) Arun is a Hindi, Sanskrit and Indian Philosophy scholar. She was awarded a PhD degree from the University of Mauritius, sponsored by the Tertiary Education Commission on the topic, "A comparative study of the ethical values in Ramayana and Ramacharitmanasa and their impact on the Hindu Society of Mauritius".

Arun was the first Sanskrit education officer and one of the first to teach Hindi literature in Mauritius. Subsequently, she was a senior lecturer in Indian philosophy at the University of Mauritius from 2002 to 2010. She then became the first secretary-general of the World Hindi Secretariat, [1] an organisation set up by the governments of India and Mauritius to promote Hindi across the world. She is currently the vice-president of the Ramayana Centre, [2] set up by an Act of the Parliament of Mauritius in 2001.

Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Rambhadracharya is an Indian Hindu spiritual leader, educator, Sanskrit scholar, polyglot, poet, author, textual commentator, philosopher, composer, singer, playwright and Katha artist based in Chitrakoot, India. He is one of four incumbent Jagadguru Ramanandacharya, and has held this title since 1988.

Sukhlal Sanghvi, also known as Pandit Sukhlalji, was a Jain scholar and philosopher. He belonged to the Sthanakvasi sect of Jainism. Pandit Sukhlal lost his eyesight at the age of sixteen on account of smallpox. However, he persisted and became profoundly versed in Jain logic and rose to become a professor at Banaras Hindu University. Paul Dundas calls him one of the most incisive modern interpreters of Jain philosophy. Dundas notes that Sanghavi represents what now seems to be a virtually lost scholarly and intellectual world. He was a mentor for famous Jain scholar Padmanabh Jaini. During his lifetime he won such awards as the Sahitya Akademi Award and won recognition from the Government of India by getting Padma Bhushan award. Sukhlalji was also known as Pragnachaksu because he was so vastly learned despite being visually disabled.

Kashinath Singh is an Indian writer and scholar of Hindi language and known for writing novels and short stories in Hindi. He was formerly a professor of Hindi literature in Banaras Hindu University. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2011 for his novel Rehan Par Ragghu, and is considered one of the best chroniclers of the city of Varanasi. He has recently received 'Bharat Bharti Award', the state's highest literary award given by U.P. government.

Leeladhar Jagudi is an Indian teacher, journalist and poet of Hindi literature. He is the author of several poetry anthologies including Natak Jari Hai and Shankha Mukhi Shikharon Par and is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award, for his 1997 anthology, Anubhav Ke Aakash Mein Chand. Rajendra Arun was a scholar of the Ramayana and of Indian Philosophy. He was the founder and president of the Ramayana Centre, set up by an Act of the Parliament of Mauritius in 2001 to promote and propagate the Ramayana and the spiritual, social and cultural values flowing therefrom.

Avadh Kishore Jadia is a poet and author in the Bundeli language and the Braj language from the Chhatarpur district in the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh. He was also an Ayurveda medical practitioner in the Madhya Pradesh Govt Service. In the year 2022, Govt of India honored him by conferring the Padma Shri award for his contributions as an author in the Bundeli and Braj languages.
