Vinod Kumar Vijayan is an Indian film director, writer and producer. He got International Video Festival Award for his first Short Film MASK in age of 18. He also won Berlinale international crystal bear award for the movie OTTAL. In 2013, he received National Award for his film Annayum Rasoolum. He is known for his works in Malayalam and Telugu cinema. His films include Quotation (2004), [1] Red Salute (2006) [1] and D Company: The Judgement Day (2013). [2]

As director

Vijayan began assisting with filming under the guidance of K. K. Haridas and Rajeev Ravi.[ citation needed ] His first film, MASK, has won the International Video Festival award in the category of best short film.[ citation needed ] His debut in mainstream filmmaking as a director was with the 2004 Malayalam Film Quotation. [ citation needed ] Rajeev Ravi was the cinematographer for the film.[ citation needed ]

His second film as a director was Red Salute, starring Kalabhavan Mani and Sree Devika in lead roles. [3] This film was also the debut film of cinematographer Vinod Illampally[ citation needed ] and editor Vivek Harshan. [4]

Vijayan also directed Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, a message-oriented short film for girls' education in India.[ citation needed ] The film starred child actor Esther Anil as the protagonist. His next film was malayalam anthology film D Company - The Day of Judgement (2013). [5] [6] Vijayan's installment in the anthology starred Fahadh Faasil and Bhama in lead roles. [6] [7]

As of 2019, Vijayan is directing a Telugu feature film, "OKA PATHAKAM PRAKARAM" starring Sairam Shankar in the lead role. [8] The Cinematography is by Rajeev Ravi, [8] editing by Vivek Harshan, [8] art by Santosh Raman,[ citation needed ] makeup by Pattanam Shah and Pattanam Rasheed, [8] and musical score by Rahul Raj. Rajeev Ravi is an Indian cinematographer, director, and producer from Kochi, Kerala. He's best known for his work in Hindi and Malayalam films. After graduating from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 1997, he started his career by assisting in the Malayalam film, Pranayavarnangal (1998) shot by Santosh Thundiyil. He debuted as a cinematographer with the film Chandni Bar (2001), when he was launched by producer R. Mohan when the original cinematographer Venu had date clashes. The film was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.

D Company is a 2013 Indian Malayalam anthology gangster drama film. It is an anthology of three independently shot films directed by M. Padmakumar, Diphan, and Vinod Vijayan. It includes a huge ensemble cast of Jayasurya, Fahadh Faasil, Anoop Menon, Unni Mukundan, Asif Ali, Samuthirakani, Ananya, Bhama, Parvathi Nair, Aadukalam Naren, Rajeev Pillai, Jinu Joseph, Joju George, Deepak Parambol and Pooja Ramachandran. <i>Annayum Rasoolum</i> 2013 Indian film

Annayum Rasoolum is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama film directed by Rajeev Ravi and written by Santhosh Echikkanam from a story by Ravi. Set in Vypin islands in Kerala, the plot revolves around a star-crossed romance between Rasool, a Muslim taxi driver, and Anna, a Latin Christian salesgirl, both from conservative working class families. The songs and background score were composed by K.

Valiyaperunnal is a 2019 Indian Malayalam language romantic crime comedy-drama film, the first film directed by Dimal Dennis. It was scripted jointly by Dennis and Thasreeq Abdul Salam. The film has Shane Nigam in the lead role, along with Himika Bose, Joju George, Soubin Shahir, Vinayakan, Alencier Ley Lopez, Captain Raju and Dharmajan Bolgatty in other pivotal roles. The movie was released on 20 December 2019 in India and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
