Virginia's 1st House of Delegates district

Virginia's 1st House of Delegates district is one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 1 represents the city of Norton and portions of Lee, Scott, and Wise counties. The seat is held by Republican Terry Kilgore. [1] Kilgore has been in office since 1993.

Elections

2017

In the November 2017 election, Democrat Alicia Kallen ran against Kilgore. [2] It was the first time in a decade Kilgore had a challenger for the seat. [3] Kallen, 26, works at Norton Community Hospital. [2] However, she was unable to win the seat and Kilgore kept his position.

Bobby Orrock American politician

Robert Dickson Orrock, Sr. is an American politician. Since 1990 he has been a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 54th district in the east-central part of the state, including parts of Caroline and Spotsylvania Counties, a county included in the Washington metropolitan area. From 1990–1991 the District encompassed all of Spotsylvania, part of Caroline County, and part of the City of Fredericksburg. From 1992–2001 the District encompassed part of Spotsylvania County and all of the City of Fredericksburg. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Marvin Kirkland Cox is an American retired politician and educator. A Republican and a former high school teacher, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1990 to 2022, representing the 66th District. From 2018 to 2020, he served as the 55th Speaker of the House of Delegates. Cox served as House Majority Leader from 2010 to 2018 and House Majority Whip from 2004 to 2010.

Kaye Kory American politician

L. Kaye Kory is an American politician. Since 2010 she has served in the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 38th district in Fairfax County. She served on the Fairfax County School Board 1999–2009. Kory is a member of the Democratic Party.

Leon Mark Dudenhefer is an American politician. A Republican, he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2011. He represented the 2nd district, made up of parts of Prince William and Stafford counties in Northern Virginia. Previously, he served 2005–2011 on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors, representing the Garrisonville district. After deciding not to seek re-election to the House of Delegates in 2017, he decided to run for the Stafford County Board of Supervisors again, and was elected by a margin of 12 votes.

District 22, consisting of Bedford County, Lynchburg, Campbell County, and Franklin County, has been represented by Republican Kathy Byron since 1998.

District 32, in Loudoun County, has been represented by David Reid since 2018. According to the 2010 census, the thirty-second district has a population of 80,268 with 56,252 registered voters.

Virginia's 3rd House of Delegates district is one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 3, in Tazewell County, Buchanan County, Bland County, and Russell County, is represented by Republican Will Morefield.

District 29 represents the city of Winchester as well as parts of Frederick and Warren counties. The seat is currently held by Bill Wiley, who was elected in a November 3, 2020 special election.
