Visions of Another Hell is the third studio album by British hardcore punk band Blood Youth, which was released on 1 October 2021, through Rude Records. [4] It is the last release by the band to include former vocalist Kaya Tarsus, who left the band shortly before the album's release. [5]

Release

On 28 June 2021, the band released the single "Iron Lung", [6] Around this time it was announced that drummer Sam Hallett was no longer a member of the band and that he had been replaced by new drummer Brad Ratcliffe. [7] On 23 July, they released the single "Cells". [8] On 25 August, they released the single "Body of Wire". [9] On 2 September, they released the single "Colony3". [10] On 19 September, they released the single "Something To Numb The Pain".

After performing at the 2021 Slam Dunk Festival, vocalist Kaya Tarsus departed from the group. [5] On 6 September 2021, former God Complex vocalist Harry Rule was announced as the band's new lead vocalist. [11] From 15 to 26 September 2021, they toured the UK on a headline tour, supported by Death Blooms. [12] On 30 September, the band announced that Visions of Another Hell would be released the following day, 1 October 2021. [4]

Musical style

Callum McMillan of Bring the Noise UK compared the album's sound to Slipknot and early Korn, saying the band have "embraced both classic nu-metal style riffage and modern production". [2]

The album received generally positive reviews, with Dan McHugh of Distorted Sound Magazine saying "it is arguably their strongest and most dynamic material to date", [1] while Emma Wilkes of Kerrang! said "Visions of Another Hell is a formidable final chapter of [Kaya's] era that balances brutality with intricacy with phenomenal results". [13]

While She Sleeps are a British metalcore band from Sheffield. Formed in 2006, the group consists of vocalist Lawrence Taylor, guitarists Sean Long and Mat Welsh, bassist Aaran McKenzie and drummer Adam Savage. They are currently signed to their own label Sleeps Brothers in the UK and in collaboration with Spinefarm Records in the US and UNFD in Australia. Climates (band)

Climates were a British melodic hardcore band formed in 2011 in Lincoln, England, by Wesley Thompson, Sam Bowden, Fil Thorpe Evans, Harley Clifton and Henry Othen. However Evans departed in early 2013 to join Neck Deep full-time and Clifton and Othen both departed in 2012. The firing of Thompson in 2014 lead to the bands eventual break up.

Recorded in April 2014 at the Ranch Production House in Southampton with producer Neil Kennedy, it was originally released independently as a digital download on 19 June 2014. The EP was later issued on limited edition 12" vinyl by Palm Reader Records in December 2014, followed by another limited edition reissue in November 2020 by Roadrunner Records. "Gloom" and "VCR" were released as music videos.

Boston Manor are a British rock band formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, in March 2013. They released a first EP, Here/Now, through Never Mend Records on Bandcamp, and in 2014 they signed with Failure By Design Records for their second EP, Driftwood. In 2015 the band signed with Pure Noise Records: with them, they released another EP, Saudade, as well as their full-length albums Be Nothing (2016), Welcome to the Neighbourhood (2018) and Glue (2020). The band's sound blends emo with heavier influences, reminiscing of 90's grunge and early 2000s post-hardcore. The band have been nominated for Best British Breakthrough at Kerrang! Awards in 2018 and Welcome to the Neighbourhood received a nomination for Best Album Artwork at Heavy Music Awards in 2019.

Void of Vision Australian band

Void of Vision are an Australian metalcore band from Melbourne, formed in 2013. The band consists of guitarists James McKendrick and Mitch Fairlie, drummer George Murphy, and vocalist Jack Bergin. Void of Vision have released two studio albums: Children of Chrome (2016) and Hyperdaze (2019).

Malevolence (band) English heavy metal band

Malevolence are an English heavy metal band formed in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in 2010. They have released three studio albums and one EP and established their own record label called MLVLTD Music.

"In League with Satan" is the first song released by the English extreme metal band Venom. It was released on 19 April 1981 as a single with the B-side "Live Like an Angel" by Neat Records and later appeared on the band's first album, Welcome to Hell. The song has been cited as the first black metal song and is also often cited by critics who claim a connection between heavy metal and Satanism.

I Went to Hell and Back is the fourth studio album by British-American pop-punk band As It Is, released 4 February 2022 by Fearless Records. The album is the band's first as a trio after drummer Patrick Foley left in 2020 to pursue his firefighting career.

<i>Heavy Pendulum</i> 2022 studio album by Cave In

Heavy Pendulum is the seventh studio album by American rock band Cave In, released on May 20, 2022 through Relapse Records. This is the band's first album with bassist/backing vocalist Nate Newton, though late bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield still has a presence on the record.
