Career

Working as a music composer, Kar made his debut as a film composer in Bollywood in the film Zindagi 50-50 [3] [4] where he composed four original songs.

Kar composed the songs for the film Meeruthiya Gangsters in 2015, [5] One Night Stand in 2016, [6] Gun & Goal in 2015, Care of Footpath 2 in 2015, Saansein [7] , Direct Ishq in 2016. [8]

The movie Care of Footpath 2, in which Vivek Kar was a music director, was a lateral entry to Oscars as well. [9]

The film also featured Shriya Saran and Geeta Basra for a special appearance. It was based on true story of gang wars of Ghaziabad. It was released on 22 February 2013. Upon release, the film received mixed reviews.

Care of Footpath 2 is a 2015 Indian bi-lingual drama film directed by Kishan Shrikanth and produced by Devaraj Pande. In addition to direction, Kishan has composed music, enacted and edited the film. The film is a sequel to Kishan's Care of Footpath (2006) which won him many laurels. The film stars Avika Gor, Deepp Pathak, Esha Deol, Dingri Naresh and Karthik Jayaram in the main roles. The film also features special performances from Bollywood personalities such as Shafiq Syed of Salaam Bombay! fame and director Anees Bazmee. The film examines the Indian legal system through the trial of four juveniles who hatch a plan to kill a corrupt police officer.

Dear Zindagi is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Gauri Shinde. It was produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, and Shinde under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and Hope Productions respectively. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead roles with Ira Dubey, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi, Ali Zafar, Yashaswini Dayama and Rohit Suresh Saraf in supporting roles. The plot centres on a budding cinematographer who is discontented with her life and meets a free-spirited psychologist who helps her to gain a new perspective on her life.
