Vivien Colober (born 6 October 1990) [2] is a French slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 2007 to 2015.

He won a silver medal in the K1 team event at the 2011 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Bratislava and bronze medal in the same event at the 2011 European Championships in La Seu d'Urgell. [3]

The ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships are an international event in canoeing organized by the International Canoe Federation. The World Championships have taken place every year in non-Summer Olympic years since 2002. From 1949 to 1999, they had taken place in odd-numbered years. The 2001 championships were scheduled to take place in Ducktown, Tennessee from 20 to 23 September, but were canceled in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

2010 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships

The 2010 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships were held 8–12 September 2010 at Tacen Whitewater Course, Slovenia under the auspices of International Canoe Federation for the record-tying third time. It was the 33rd edition. Tacen hosted the event previously in 1955 and 1991 when it was part of Yugoslavia, and joins the following cities that have hosted the event three times: Spittal, Austria ; Meran, Italy ; Bourg St.-Maurice, France ; and Augsburg, Germany. Women's single canoe (C1W) events became a medal event after being an exhibition in the previous championships.

Jean-Yves Prigent is a French slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1976 to 1983. He won a three medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold and two bronzes. His son Yves and his daughter Camille have also competed in canoe slalom.

The European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships is an annual international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the European Canoe Association (ECA). The Junior Championships were first held in 1995 and then every two years until 2003. The Under-23 Championships were first held in 2002 as part of the senior championships that year. Since 2004 the junior and U23 age categories are held annually together as part of the same event. Athletes under the age of 18 are eligible for the junior category.
