Vĕslav Michalik (1 March 1963 –12 June 2022) was a Czech politician. A member of Mayors and Independents,he served on the Central Bohemian Regional Council from 2012 to 2022. [1] He was also mayor of DolníBřežany from 2004 to 2022. [2]
Michalik was born on 1 March 1963 in ČeskýTěšín,Czechoslovakia. He graduated from the gymnasium in ČeskýTěšín and the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague,in 1986 he received engineer's degree. [3] [4] [5]
Michalik died on the hill Vlčíhora in KrásnáLípa on 12 June 2022,at the age of 59. [6]
Jan Suchý was a Czech ice hockey player. He played for the Czechoslovakia men's national team at the Ice Hockey World Championships and the Winter Olympic Games,and was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame.

Parliamentary elections were held in the Czech Republic on 8 and 9 October 2021. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies were elected,with the leader of the resulting government to become the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. Following the 2017 parliamentary elections,the country had been ruled by a minority government consisting of ANO 2011 (ANO),led by prime minister Andrej Babiš,and the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD),led by interior minister Jan Hamáček,with confidence and supply support from the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) until April 2021. Marek Výborný is a Czech politician,who has been serving as the Czech Minister of Agriculture in Petr Fiala's Cabinet since June 2023 and the leader of KDU-ČSL since October 2024. He was also the leader of KDU-ČSL between 2019 and 2020. Výbornýresigned on the post on 19 November 2019 after his wife died and he became a single parent for his three children. He left the position on 25 January 2020.

A by-election for the Teplice Senate seat in the Czech Republic was held in 2020,following the death of Jaroslav Kubera. The election,originally scheduled for 27 and 28 March 2020,was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic. The first round was eventually held on 5 and 6 June 2020. Hynek Hanza received the highest number of votes and advanced to a runoff,in which he defeated Zdeněk Bergman and became the new Senator.
Spolu is a Czech centre-right political alliance formed for the 2021 legislative election,composed of the Civic Democratic Party,KDU-ČSL,and TOP 09. As of the 2021 Czech election it governs the Czech Republic in a coalition with the Pirates and Mayors alliance.
Miroslav Tetter was a Czech politician and academic. He was a representative of the South Bohemian Region from 2000 to 2008 and Mayor of ČeskéBudějovice from 1998 to 2006 and again in 2010. In his earlier political career he served in the ČeskéBudějovice City Council.
Senate elections were held in the Czech Republic on 23 and 24 September 2022 alongside municipal elections. The election were won by the Spolu alliance consisting of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS),KDU-ČSL and TOP 09 which won 20 seats. The ODS was the most successful party,winning eight seats.
