The Woman's Music Event Awards, or simply WME Awards, is an annual award show to recognize women in music in Brazil.
The Woman's Music Event (WME), founded by Claudia Assef and Monique Dardenne in 2016, is a platform dedicated to music, business, and technology, with "the aim of becoming the central hub for events focused on the growing female music scene in Brazil." [1] To recognize, Assef, Dardenne, and Fátima Pissarra teamed up to create the WME Awards, the first Brazilian music award dedicated to women. [1] The first edition, promoted by Vevo Brasil, took place on 28 November 2017, in São Paulo. [2] From 2018 to 2022, the ceremony was promoted by Music2!, a company founded by Pissarra. [3] [4] In 2023, the ceremony began to be promoted by magazine Billboard Brasil . [5]

Glória Maria Cláudia Pires de Morais is a Brazilian actress. She is best known for her roles in TV Globo telenovelas such as Dancin' Days, Vale Tudo, Mulheres de Areia and O Rei do Gado. She is also known for starring in films such as Academy Award-nominated O Quatrilho, box-office hit If I Were You and its sequel, and Lula, Son of Brazil, which is the second most expensive Brazilian film of all time, after Nosso Lar.
Titãs are a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. Though they primarily are classified as an alternative rock band, the band have also experimented with genres such as new wave, punk rock, ska, grunge, MPB and electronic music. They are one of the most successful rock bands in Brazil, having sold more than 6.3 million albums as of 2005 and having been covered by several well-known Brazilian artists and a couple of international singers. They were awarded a Latin Grammy in 2009 and have won the Imprensa Trophy for Best Band a record four times.

It was released as the first single from his ninth studio album La Música No Se Toca (2012) and based on the opening theme song in the telenovela Amores verdaderos. The song was released for digital download on June 25, 2012. In the day of release, he put a Lyric video on his VEVO channel on YouTube and at the end of the video, he announced the name of his new album, La Música No Se Toca. The single was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year at the 13th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.

The 2023 Multishow Brazilian Music Awards was held on 7 November 2023, at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Singer Ludmilla and television presenters Tatá Werneck and Tadeu Schmidt hosted the show. The ceremony was broadcast live on Multishow, TV Globo, and the Globoplay app. This was the first time the awards were broadcast on Globo's open channel.

Previously, the Song of the Year award encompassed various musical genres within a single category. However, starting in 2023, this category was divided, giving rise to 11 new categories, each dedicated to a specific musical genre, including MPB.
