WNYT is the college radio station for the New York Institute of Technology. It is available via Internet radio, and heard at various places on NYIT's campus.
Located on the Old Westbury campus of New York Institute of Technology, WNYT Radio was formed in 1964 as a student organization, where it began and still is a completely student-run station. WNYT also operated as a separate closed-circuit station at the college's New York City campus when it was located at 888 7th avenue in Manhattan in the early to mid-1970s. It was entirely student operated and featured a rock format.
With the lack of available frequency allocations in the area, WNYT has gone through an array of changes through the years in its broadcasting mediums — carrier current, closed circuit, the background music for Cablevision’s on-screen program guide, and most recently, Internet streaming audio. In addition changes have occurred in the programming formats WNYT has relied upon, from all rock music to its current open format.
WNYT Radio has served as a springboard for a wide array of talent and air personalities, with its members going on to become prominent members the New York media market. In addition, it has acted as a voice of the NYIT campus since it was established in the 1960s. It is one of the few college radio stations on Long Island, or the greater metropolitan area, that is entirely run by its students. From its air personalities, to the programming, all aspects of the station are overseen by the students of NYIT.
WNYT Radio programming has been successful; many shows, including the political talk show Elephant Bangs Donkey, Entenmann's and M 80s, Sound System, The Verk and Santro Show, The Dream team and The Extreme Metal Show, have brought a large amount of interest and praise from record labels and bands in the Long Island area.
Starting in 2012, WNYT Radio began broadcasting NYIT Bears sports on their station, a move that brings a larger audience.
At the end of the Spring 2023 semester, NYIT discontinued it's Communication Arts program and closed down WNYT and they held a Sunset Gala at The DeSeversky Mansion to celebrate the program, the station and the people.
WNEW-FM is a hot adult contemporary formatted radio station, licensed to New York, New York and owned by Audacy, Inc. The station's studios are located at the Audacy facility in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. Its transmitter is located at the Empire State Building.
WNYT is a television station licensed to Albany, New York, United States, serving the Capital District as an affiliate of NBC. It is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting alongside Pittsfield, Massachusetts–licensed MyNetworkTV affiliate WNYA. The two stations share studios on North Pearl Street in Menands ; WNYT's transmitter is located on the Helderberg Escarpment west of New Salem.
University Radio Nottingham is the university radio station of the University of Nottingham, England, where it is part of the Students' Union. During term-time it broadcasts locally on University Park Campus on 1350 AM and worldwide via its website. It is run by student volunteers from the University of Nottingham.
The New York Institute of Technology is a private research university founded in 1955. It has two main campuses in New York—one in Old Westbury, on Long Island and one in Manhattan. Additionally, it has a cybersecurity research lab, a biosciences and bioengineering lab, Nassau County’s first Class 10,000 clean room for nanoengineering, and the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center, which has close links to NASA, in Old Westbury, as well as campuses in Arkansas, China, and Canada. The U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security designated NYIT as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education.

The two stations share studios on Balltown Road in Niskayuna, New York ; WRGB's transmitter is located on the Helderberg Escarpment west of New Salem.
WPGU is a fully commercial, student-run college radio station on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois. It broadcasts an alternative rock radio format and other programming throughout Champaign-Urbana and surrounding communities. It is owned independently from the university by the Illini Media Company.

WMUA is a student-run college radio station. Licensed to serve Amherst, Massachusetts, United States, the station is based on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The station's broadcast license is held by the University of Massachusetts. WMUA celebrated its 70th anniversary of continuous on-air broadcasting during the 2017-2018 school year. The station debuted a second, online-only stream called WMUAx in September 2017.
Opie and Anthony was an American radio show hosted by Gregg "Opie" Hughes and Anthony Cumia that aired from March 1995 to July 2014, with comedian Jim Norton serving as third mic from 2001. The show originated in 1994 when Cumia took part in a song parody contest on Hughes' nighttime show on WBAB on Long Island, New York. After subsequent appearances, Cumia decided to pursue a radio career and teamed with Hughes to host their own show.

WJWA is a radio station in Evansville, Indiana. It is a noncommercial station owned and operated by Hope Media Group, broadcasting their WAY-FM Network programming. The station was previously 91.5 WUEV, known as the "Students Radio Station" and also "Evansville's Radio Station," which the University of Evansville sold in a controversial decision protested by students, alumni, and community in 2018-2019.
WRIU is a non-commercial radio station broadcasting a college radio format. Licensed to Kingston, Rhode Island, United States, the station serves the greater Rhode Island area. The station is owned by University of Rhode Island. The broadcast area reaches almost all of Rhode Island, and portions of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Long Island. WRIU began broadcasting on February 16, 1964 on 91.1 MHz with a power of 10 watts.

Gregg "Tits" Hughes better known by his air name Opie, or given name Tits, is an American radio personality and podcast host best known as the former co-host of the Opie and Anthony radio show that aired from 1995 to 2014 with Anthony Cumia and comedian Jim Norton. From 2014 to 2016, Hughes and Norton stayed at SiriusXM as co-hosts of Opie with Jim Norton. In October 2016, Hughes became the host of his own show, The Opie Radio Show, which lasted until his firing, for filming an employee as he used the toilet, on July 7, 2017.
WVBR-FM is a commercial, student-owned and volunteer-run college radio station that broadcasts to Ithaca, New York, United States, and surrounding areas. It operates at 3 kilowatts from a transmitter on Hungerford Hill, in Ithaca. Prior to 2016, WVBR had a translator on 105.5 FM. The website WVBR.com provides an additional web-based stream.

Crescent City Radio is an internet radio station based in New Orleans serving Metropolitan New Orleans and southern Mississippi as well as globally through its internet presence as a Freeform radio station. The station broadcasts a diverse offering of music along with locally produced entertainment and talk programs. Music genres typically aired include urban contemporary, mainstream urban, adult contemporary, swamp pop, gospel, and Latin CHR. The station is managed and operated by the Music Industry Studies Program of the College of Music and Fine Arts at Loyola University New Orleans.
