The Davis–Adcock Store is a historic general store located at Wilbon, North Carolina, a crossroads north of Fuquay-Varina, in Wake County, North Carolina. The building was constructed in 1906, and is a one-story, frame, gable-front building, with a standing-seam metal roof and a stepped-parapet false front. The community store served not only as a local distribution center for goods and services, but also as a center of community social life. The building also housed the local post office from 1906 until 1925.
The North Conway 5 and 10 Cent Store is a historic general store at 2683 Main Street in North Conway, New Hampshire. Built about 1840 and significantly modified in 1900, it is one of a small number of surviving dime stores in New Hampshire, and is architecturally unusual in the state for its "boom town" false front facade. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Stainback Store, across from the church, was built about 1888, and is a simple two-story gable front frame structure built from materials of the original church building and session house from about 1792. Also on the property are the contributing original brick dairy and wellhouse, original log barn, granary, gear house, corn crib, woodhouse, chicken house, and garage.

It was built about 1875, and is a two-story, three-bay, frame building with a gable roof. The front facade features a broad hip-roofed frame canopy added in the 1930s that serves as a porte-cochere. Also on the property is a contributing one-story woodshed built in the 1930s. The building housed a post office until 1954 and a general store until 1965.

Hayes-Byrum Store and House is a historic home, store, and national historic district located near Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The store was built about 1890, and is a one-story, gable front, brick building. It measures 35 feet by 60 feet and has a wide, arched entrance with wooden double doors. North of the store is the two story, asymmetrical, Queen Anne style frame dwelling built about 1900. It has a cross-gable roof and features a cutaway bay. The store is considered the oldest surviving commercial building in rural Mecklenburg County.
Penland Post Office and General Store, also known as Bailey Lumber Company Office Building and Bailey Lumber Company Office and General Merchandise Store, is a historic post office and general store located at Penland, Mitchell County, North Carolina. It was built about 1900, and is a long, one-story, frame building with a front-gable roof and rough-sawn board and batten siding. The building housed the office and store of the Bailey Lumber Company from about 1900 to 1916, and a general store from about 1902 to 1974. It has housed the Penland post office since 1934 and is the oldest active post office facility in Mitchell County and is the county's last remaining Fourth Class post office.

Adams Grocery and General Store (1891), Hedgepath and Chitty Clothing and Shoe Store (1905), Kheiralla Brothers Store, Rowland Drug Company (1902), Merchants and Farmers Bank (1911), Former Fire Station, and Rolling Milling Company. Six buildings have stamped metal fronts manufactured from galvanized sheet iron by the Chattanooga Roofing and Foundry Company.

The Mahler Building was built in 1876, and the Carolina Trust Building was built in 1902. They were consolidated as McLellan's Dime Store about 1933. A two-story annex was added to the building in 1952. The Mahler Building is a three-story, three-bay, Renaissance Revival style brick building with round arched windows. The Carolina Trust Building is a four-story, three-bay, Classical Revival style brick building. The annex is a two-story, seven-bay, addition with Art Moderne design elements.
Davis Brothers Store is a historic general store located at East Bend, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built in 1913, and is a two-story brick commercial building. The front facade features intact store fronts and entrances and a one-story shed-roofed canopy-like porch. Also on the property is a contributing center-passage frame storage barn dated to the 1930s.
