Wanakuni (Aymara wanaku, wanaqu, [2] -ni a suffix to indicate ownership, "the one with the guanaco", Hispanicized spelling Huanacuni) is a 4,944-metre-high (16,220 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Andes. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Yanacachi Municipality, northeast of the city of La Paz. Wanakuni lies at a lake named Warawarani, southeast of Sura Qullu. [1] [3]

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

In linguistics, a suffix is an affix which is placed after the stem of a word. Common examples are case ending, which indicate the grammatical cased of nouns or adjectives, and verb endings, which form the conjugation of verbs.

Cordillera Real (Bolivia) mountain range

The Cordillera Real is a mountain range in the South American Altiplano of Bolivia. This range of fold mountains, largely composed of granite, is located southeast of Lake Titicaca, and east of the Bolivian capital of La Paz, measuring 125 km in length and 20 km in width. Despite the fact that it is only 17° south of the Equator, the Cordillera Real is relatively densely glaciated. This is due to its proximity to the Amazon lowlands with its associated moist air masses.

Phaq'u Kiwuta is a mountain in the Andes, about 5,589 m (18,337 ft) high. It is located in the Cordillera Real of Bolivia in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality, Kirani Canton. It is situated south-west of the mountain Wila Lluxi, south-east of Warawarani and north of a lake named Quta Thiya in some maps. Other prominent mountains nearby are Jisk'a Pata and Janq'u Uyu in the north, and Wila Lluxita and Mullu Apachita in the north-east, all of them higher than 5,000 m.

Kimsa Chata (Los Andes)

Kimsa Chata is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 5,056 metres (16,588 ft) high. It is located in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality, Kirani Canton. It is situated south-west of the mountains Wila Lluxi, Warawarani and Phaq'u Kiwuta, between the mountain Qala T'uxu in the north and the lake Q'ara Quta in the south.

Janqu Karka (Larecaja-Murillo) mountain in Bolivia

Janq'u K'ark'a is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 5,038 metres (16,529 ft) high. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Larecaja Province, Guanay Municipality, and in the Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality. Janq'u K'ark'a lies north-east of the mountain Kunturiri.

Ullumani is a mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,428 metres (14,528 ft) high. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality. Ullumani lies east of the mountains Sankayuni and Chankuni and north-east of the mountain Kunturiri.

Qutapata

Qutapata is a 5,300-metre-high (17,388 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Andes. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Irupana Municipality, near the border with the Murillo Province, Palca Municipality. Qutapata lies south-west of the mountain Mururata and north-east of the mountain Wila Quta.

Churu (Bolivia)

Churu is a 5,200-metre-high (17,060 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Andes. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Irupana Municipality, near the border with the Murillo Province, Palca Municipality. Churu lies south-west of the mountain Mururata, west of a small lake named Qillwa Quta, east of the mountain Wila Quta and south-east of the mountain Qutapata.

Sura Qullu is a 4,752-metre-high (15,591 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Andes. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Yanacachi Municipality, north-east of the city of La Paz. Sura Qullu lies between the mountain Jathi Qullu in the north-west and the lake Warawarani in the south-east.

Pirqa Pata lies east of the main range of the Cordillera Real, north of Mururata and southeast of Sirk'i Qullu and Pirqata.

It is located in the La Paz Department, Pedro Domingo Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality, north-east of the city of La Paz. The mountains Mik'aya and Wak'ani are situated south-east of Jamp'aturi. The river Unduavi originates north-west of the mountain.

Chuñawi mountain in Bolivia

Ch'uñawi is a 4,846-metre-high (15,899 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Andes of Bolivia It lies in the La Paz Department, Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality, northeast of the city of La Paz. Ch'uñawi is situated northwest of Mik'aya and Wak'ani and northeast of Jamp'aturi.

Qutapata (Murillo)

Qutapata is a 5,288-metre-high (17,349 ft) mountain in the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Andes. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Murillo Province, La Paz Municipality, near the border with the Sud Yungas Province, Yanacachi Municipality. Qutapata lies south-west of the mountain Sirk'i Qullu, west of the mountain Jathi Qullu and south of the lake Sirk'i Quta.

Jach'a Quta is a lake in Bolivia located in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Yanacachi Municipality, north-west of the mountain Mururata. It lies south-east of the mountain Wanakuni and the lakes Warawarani and Jisk'a Warawarani at the mountain Thakis Uma. One of the smaller lakes near Jach'a Quta is named Jisk'a Quta. It is situated north-east of Jach'a Quta.

Sura Surani mountain in Bolivia

Sura Surani is a mountain in the Bolivian Andes which reaches a height of approxilamtely 4,840 m (15,880 ft). It is situated in the La Paz Department, Sud Yungas Province, Yanacachi Municipality. Sura Surani lies northeast of Mik'aya.
