"Wanna Take You Home" is a song recorded by American country music group Gloriana, written by band member Tom Gossin with Matt Serletic and Wendell Mobley. It was released in March 2011 as the first single from the album A Thousand Miles Left Behind . It is the band's last single to feature member Cheyenne Kimball.

Band member Tom Gossin wrote the song with Matt Serletic and Wendell Mobley. Gossin said that he did not have any lyrics when he began writing with the two, and that the idea came once Gossin recalled seeing fans dance in the audience whenever the band performed "Wild at Heart". [2]

Critical reception

Giving it four stars out of five, Bobby Peacock of Roughstock praised the "punchy groove, with plenty of banjo and steel fills". [3]

Music video

The video was the first major music video for director TK McKamy. It was filmed immediately before Cheyenne Kimball left the group. It shows the group performing the song at a huge evening barn party, surrounded by many fans. [4]

Her debut album, The Day Has Come was released in July 2006, coinciding with an MTV reality series following her entry into the music industry. Gloriana was an American country music group founded in 2008 by Cheyenne Kimball, Rachel Reinert (vocals), and brothers Tom Gossin and Mike Gossin. Prior to the group's foundation, Kimball recorded as a solo artist. The original lineup recorded one self-titled album for Emblem/Reprise Records in 2009, which included their first chart hit, "Wild at Heart". Kimball left before the release of the band's second album A Thousand Miles Left Behind, which produced their highest-charting single, "(Kissed You) Good Night", along with the top 20 "Can't Shake You". After a third album, Three, Reinert left as well, effectively disbanding the group.

Rachel Reinert is an American country music singer, songwriter, and musician from Santa Ana, California. Reinert began her career as a recording artist in 2008 as a member of the country group Gloriana, contributing to gold and platinum singles and opening tours for Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow, Rascal Flatts, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, and Zac Brown Band. In 2016, she left Gloriana and began a career as a solo artist. Reinert signed to Nashville-based independent label Green Iris Records and released her debut solo album Into the Blue in March, 2020.
