Loretta Lynn Morgan is an American country music singer. She is the daughter of George Morgan, widow of Keith Whitley, and ex-wife of Jon Randall and Sammy Kershaw, all of whom are also country music singers. Morgan has been active as a singer since the age of 13, and charted her first single in 1979. She achieved her greatest success between 1988 and 1999, recording for RCA Records and the defunct BNA Records. Her first two RCA albums and her BNA album Watch Me are all certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The 1995 compilation Reflections: Greatest Hits is her best-selling album with a double-platinum certification; War Paint, Greater Need, and Shakin' Things Up, also on BNA, are certified gold.
Something in Red is the second studio album released by Lorrie Morgan. It reached #8 on the Billboard country albums chart, including the #3 "We Both Walk," the #9 "A Picture of Me ", the #4 "Except for Monday," and the #14 title song. The duet with Dolly Parton, "Best Woman Wins", appeared simultaneously on both Something in Red and Parton's album Eagle When She Flies.

The album produced four singles for Kershaw on the Billboard country charts. The first two singles were "National Working Woman's Holiday" and a cover of the Amazing Rhythm Aces' "Third Rate Romance", both of which peaked at #2. Following it was a cover of the Mac McAnally song "Southbound" at #27 and also "If You're Gonna Walk, I'm Gonna Crawl" at #18. Also included is a re-release of a duet with George Jones called "Never Bit a Bullet Like This", which was previously released on Jones' 1993 album High-Tech Redneck.
Maybe Not Tonight is the sixth studio album that was released by American country music artist Sammy Kershaw. It was released in 1999 on Mercury Records. The first album of his career not to achieve an RIAA certification, it also failed to produce any Top Ten country hits. The lead-off single, which was the title track duet with Lorrie Morgan reached #17 on the country charts. This song was concurrently promoted by Mercury and BNA Records, Morgan's label. Following it were "When You Love Someone" at #37 and "Me and Maxine" at #35. "Louisiana Hot Sauce", the fourth and final track, failed to chart. Also included is a cover of Bobby Vee's "More Than I Can Say", which water later a #2 pop hit for Leo Sayer in 1980. In addition, "How Much Does the World Weigh" was later recorded by Tracy Byrd on his 2001 album Ten Rounds. Maybe Not Tonight was also Kershaw's last studio album for Mercury. After it was released, Mercury issued an album of cover songs and a second greatest hits compilation before he exited the label.
I Finally Found Someone is a studio album released by country music artists Lorrie Morgan and Sammy Kershaw. It was released in 2001 by RCA Records Nashville and it is largely composed of duets between the two artists. Six of the songs are duets, while the other six are solo efforts. The only chart single from this album was "He Drinks Tequila", one of the duets, which peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard country chart. The title track is a cover of the Barbra Streisand/Bryan Adams duet. "What a Wonderful World", a cover of a song made famous by Louis Armstrong, is also included here.
Honky Tonk Boots is an album released in 2006 by American country music artist Sammy Kershaw. His only release for the Category 5 Records album, it was also his first studio release since 2003's I Want My Money Back. The album's lead-off single, "Tennessee Girl", peaked at number 43 on the Billboard country charts in 2006. Honky Tonk Boots also reunited him with producers Buddy Cannon and Norro Wilson, who co-produced his first four albums.

Singles released from the album were "Why Can't You" and "Always a Woman", which respectively reached #46 and #70 on the Billboard country singles charts.

"Shadow of a Doubt" was the first single released from the album and went to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart on August 23, 1991. The second release, "Brotherly Love" peaked at No. 2 on the country singles chart on November 15, 1991.
