Wayne Phillip (born 25 November 1977) is a former Dominican cricketer who represented the Windward Islands and several other teams in West Indian domestic cricket. He played as a wicket-keeper,and batted left-handed.
Phillip was born in Grand Fond,in Dominica's Saint David Parish. [1] He made his senior Windward Islands debut at the age of 19,playing in the 1997–98 Red Stripe Bowl (a limited-overs competition). [2] Phillip made his first-class the following season,playing for West Indies A against Jamaica,and was subsequently selected for a West Indies A tour of India,as a back-up wicket-keeper to Courtney Browne. He again played for West Indies A during the 1999–00 season,when India A toured,and was then chosen for the West Indian senior team's 2000 tour of England. [3] Selected as a reserve for Ridley Jacobs,he did not play in any of the international matches on tour,but did feature in a number of games against English county teams. [4]
In the 2000–01 Busta Cup,Phillip played for West Indies B,a development team. That was his last season at first-class level. [3] However,he continued to play regional one-day cricket for another two seasons,representing the Northern Windward Islands in the 2001–02 Red Stripe Bowl and the Rest of Windward Islands team in the 2002–03 Red Stripe Bowl. [2] Phillip briefly returned to top-level West Indian cricket in 2006,when he represented the Dominican national team at the Stanford 20/20. His sole appearance came in Dominica's loss to Grenada,which knocked the team out of the tournament. [5]
Daren Julius Garvey Sammy is a Saint Lucian cricketer who played international cricket for the West Indies. He is a two time T20 World Cup winning captain. On making his One-Day International (ODI) debut against Bangladesh in 2004,Sammy became the first person from the island of St Lucia to play international cricket. Three years later he made his Test debut against England,taking 7/66 which were the best bowling figures for a West Indian in his first Test since Alf Valentine in 1950. Sammy was appointed West Indies captain in October 2010. He scored his maiden Test century in May 2012 during a match against England.

Joseph Henderson Williams is a former Barbadian cricketer who played several matches for Barbados during the late 1990s. From the parish of Saint Philip,Williams represented the Barbados under-19 team at both the 1993 and 1994 West Indies Youth Championships. He made his first-class debut for Barbados during the 1995–96 season,against Guyana in the Red Stripe Cup. The match was washed out after one day's play,and Williams played only one further match at first-class level,against a touring Free State team the following season. In that match,played at the Kensington Oval,Bridgetown,he took 3/57 in Free State's only innings,bowling first change behind Henry Austin and Test player Patterson Thompson.
The Dominica national cricket team represents the country of Dominica in cricket. The team is not a member of the International Cricket Council,but the Dominica Cricket Association is a member of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control,which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board,and players from Dominica generally represent the Windward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. Dominica has however played as a separate entity in matches which held Twenty20 status,but has not appeared in first-class or List A cricket. The team's captain,as of December 2013,is Liam Sebastien.
