Pledis Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment company founded by Han Sung-Soo in 2007. The label is home to actress Nana, Hwang Min-hyun, Baekho, and K-pop groups Seventeen, Fromis 9 and TWS. Its name originates from the Pleiades, a star cluster in the constellation Taurus.

It was released as a digital download by YMC Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment on August 9, 2016 and as a physical single on August 11. The lyrics were written by Nikki Flores, Phillip Bentley, and Seo Jeonga and the music was composed by Emile Ghantous, Steve Daly, Keith Hetrick, Ryan S. Jhun, Michel Schulz, and Fritz Michallik, with additional background vocals from Nikki Flores and Melanie Fontana. Choreography for the song was created by member Chungha. To promote the single album, I.O.I's unit performed the song on several South Korean music programs, including M Countdown and Music Bank. A music video for the title track was also released on August 9.
Pristin was a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2016. The group was composed of ten members: Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung, Yehana, Sungyeon, Xiyeon, and Kyla. Most of them appeared on the television show Produce 101 and, as the prize for becoming two of the top contestants, Nayoung and Kyulkyung went on to debut as part of the project girl group I.O.I, before reuniting with the other members to debut as Pristin on March 21, 2017, with the first EP Hi! Pristin. Pristin was known for writing and composing their own music. After nearly a year and a half without activity, the group disbanded on May 24, 2019 when only 3 of the 10 members renewed their contract with Pledis Entertainment.

A former child actress, singer and model, she trained under Pledis Entertainment for nine years before making her official debut as a member of the girl group Pristin in 2017. From April 2017 to January 2018, she hosted the South Korean music program Show! Music Core with Cha Eun-woo.
Produce 48 is the third season of the South Korean reality competition series Produce 101. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a girl group by voting for members out of a pool of 96 contestants from South Korea and Japan, as well as voting for the group's concept, name and debut single. The show was a collaboration between the Mnet series Produce 101 and the J-pop idol group AKB48. The winning 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, would promote as a group for two years and six months. The program itself is primarily in Korean, however staff and trainer instructions were translated onsite by interpreters. The show announced the final 12 members who made it into, as well as the official name of the group Iz*One during the finale on August 31, 2018.

Jung Eun-woo, known mononymously as Eunwoo, is a South Korean former singer. She is known for her participation on Produce 101 and being a former member of Pristin, its sub-group Pristin V and Hinapia.
Hinapia was a South Korean girl group formed by OSR Entertainment. The group was composed of five members: Minkyeung, Yaebin, Gyeongwon, Eunwoo, and Bada. Hinapia debuted on November 3, 2019 with the single album New Start. They disbanded on August 21, 2020.
