WFTDA West Region

The Women's Flat Track Derby Association's (WFTDA) West Region was formed in 2006. In 2009, teams from the eastern part of the region were moved into the North Central and South Central Regions. [1]

Contents

From 2008, the WFTDA changed from having just two regional tournaments (East and West), to five, made up of teams from four regions: East, North Central, South Central and West. [2]

For 2011, the region was reduced in size, with teams in New Mexico moving to the South Central Region. [3]

WFTDA has now moved away from the Big 5 WFTDA Championships qualification tournament structure, last competed in 2012. Starting with the 2013 WFTDA season, the regions were discontinued in favour of an overall-rankings based system, and a new playoff format was created.

Windy City Rollers is a women's flat-track roller derby league located in Chicago, Illinois. Founded by Juanna Rumbel and Sister Sledgehammer in 2004, Windy City is the first flat-track roller derby league established in Chicago, and is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Rat City Roller Derby Roller derby league

Rat City Roller Derby is a women's flat-track roller derby league in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 2004 as Rat City Rollergirls, LLC, the league has incorporated alternative cultural influences, and has inspired and mentored other leagues. Rat City is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and has achieved success on the WFTDA stage, qualifying for WFTDA Playoffs every season, including a second-place finish in the 2007 WFTDA Championships.

Madison Roller Derby Roller derby league

Madison Roller Derby (MRD), founded as "Mad Rollin' Dolls", is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 2004, Madison is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and was the fourth league to join the fledgling organization. Since 2006, Madison has qualified for the WFTDA post-season every year, including three appearances at WFTDA Championships.

Denver Roller Derby is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), joining in December 2007 as Denver Roller Dolls. In January 2015, the league changed its name to Denver Roller Derby.

Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Derby Roller derby league

Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Derby is a women's flat track roller derby league, based in Lincoln, England. Lincolnshire is a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) and the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and follows the WFTDA ruleset.

Duke City Roller Derby (DCRD) is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 2005, Duke City is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Dolly Rockit Rollers Roller derby league

The Leicestershire Dolly Rockit Rollers (“LDRR”) are a women's flat track roller derby league based in Leicestershire, England. Formed in January 2010, they skate flat track roller derby to the rules of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), of which they have been a member since July 2014, and have been a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKDRA) since September 2011. The league is entirely owned and run by its members, and was the first roller derby league to operate in Leicestershire.

Memphis Roller Derby Roller derby league

Memphis Roller Derby, or MRD, is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 2006, Memphis Roller Derby is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

The WFTDA Western Regional Tournament or WFTDA West Region Playoffs was one of four roller derby qualifying tournaments for the WFTDA Championships.

Sioux Falls Roller Dollz Roller derby league

Sioux Falls Roller Dollz (SFRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Founded in 2006, the league currently consists of two teams, and two mixed teams which compete against teams from other leagues. Sioux Falls is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Angel City Derby Roller derby league

Angel City Derby is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2006 by a collective of skaters, the league is composed of nearly 200 members divided into four teams who skate on a flat track and compete against teams from the state of California and internationally. The league is skater-owned and operated, "by the skater, for the skater," a volunteer-fueled effort by the women and men in the organization. Angel City is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). In recent years Angel City's all-star team, the Hollywood Scarlets, has been considered one of the top teams in the WFTDA.

West Texas Roller Derby is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Lubbock, Texas. Founded in 2007, the league currently consists of a single team, which competes against teams from other leagues. West Texas is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

The Oklahoma Victory Dolls (OKVD) is a flat-track roller derby league based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Founded in 2007, the league currently consists of two competitive teams which compete internationally against teams from other leagues, as well as home teams.

Wasatch Roller Derby (WRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 2008, Wasatch is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Copenhagen Roller Derby (CRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 2009, the league consists of two teams, which compete against teams from other leagues. Copenhagen Roller Derby is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
