Where's Waldo? (known outside North America as Where's Wally?) is an American animated television series with educational elements based on the North American variation of the Where's Wally? books by Martin Handford. [1] The series is produced by DreamWorks Animation Television and debuted on Universal Kids on July 20, 2019. [2]
Martin Handford is an English children's author and illustrator who gained worldwide fame in the mid-1980s with his Where's Wally? creation.
Universal Kids is an American pay television channel aimed at children aged 2–11. It is owned by the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group division of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast. The channel was launched on September 26, 2005.
This is the only show not about finding the titular character like the 1991 cartoon and the series of books.
The series follows members of the WorldWide Wanderer Society, Waldo and Wenda, who are sent on travel missions by their mentor, Wizard Whitebeard. Their rival, Odlulu, causes them trouble in their attempts to earn stripes and become wizard-level wanderers. [3]
Joshua Rush is an American actor. Rush began his career as a child actor playing roles such as Turner in the 2012 film Parental Guidance, and young versions of the characters Sylar and Chuck Bartowski on the television series Heroes and Chuck, respectively. Since 2016 he has voiced Bunga on the Disney Junior television series The Lion Guard, and from 2017 to 2019 he starred as Cyrus Goodman on the Disney Channel television series Andi Mack.
Haley Alexandra Tju is an American actress. She is known for her role as Pepper in the Nickelodeon television series Bella and the Bulldogs.
Thomas Patrick Lennon is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, director and novelist. As an actor he is best known for his work as a cast member on MTV's The State, for his role as Lieutenant Jim Dangle on the Comedy Central series Reno 911! and as Felix Unger on the CBS series The Odd Couple. Lennon is also an accomplished screenwriter of several major studio comedies with writing partner Robert Ben Garant. Their films include comedies such as the Night at the Museum films, The Pacifier, Balls of Fury, and Baywatch.

In 2018, it was revealed Where's Waldo? was in the works as part of the expansion of DreamWorks Animation Television. [7] On April 5, 2019, it was announced the series would debut on Universal Kids along with 8 other DreamWorks Animation series previously available on Netflix. [8] The cast was announced on April 26 [4] and its airdate was on May 23 before it was delayed to July 20. [2]
