Wicked System of Things is a 2018 studio album by American singer-songwriter Matthew Sweet.
Sweet recorded the songs for Wicked System of Things in his Omaha home studio in early 2017. He discussed the prospect of collaborating with Cheap Trick members Rick Nielsen and Tom Petersson and wrote this music as an expression of his love of Midwest power pop, [1] but both musical acts were too busy to record together, so Sweet decided to put the songs to record himself and release it as a Record Store Day exclusive in 2018. [2] Sweet chose an apocalyptic title used by Jehovah's Witnesses and paintings of desolation, but the album content does not focus on dark themes. [1]
Writing in The Lincoln Journal-Star , L. Kent Wolgamott opined that this album "doesn’t feel like scraps thrown together to put something out" but that "it’s an album that’s as strong and cohesive as its predecessors, which are Sweet’s best work in at least a decade". [3]

Community Trolls was the group name of a short-lived musical duo between Michael Stipe of R.E.M. and Matthew Sweet. In 1983, they collaborated as part of the Athens, Georgia, music scene, writing and recording three songs together. One of the compositions, "Tainted Obligation", was nearly released on a compilation album in 1986, and later appeared on bootlegs; it was released officially in 2002. Another Community Trolls' song, "Six Stock Answers", appeared in an unreleased indie film featuring Stipe, Sweet and some of their friends.

The Original Wicked Lester Sessions is a bootleg release of Wicked Lester's 1972 album for Epic Records. The album was recorded over a period of months when time was available at Jimi Hendrix's newly built Electric Lady Studios. A master tape cover shows the date 10.15.72. The recordings were slowed when Epic demanded the group fire guitarist Steve Coronel and replace him with Ron Leejack. When the album was completed and presented to Epic, its A&R director Don Ellis hated it and refused to release it. Reeling from the rejection and dissatisfied with the sound of the album itself, Wicked Lester members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons left the group and formed a new incarnation of Wicked Lester, soon recruiting drummer Peter Criss and guitarist Ace Frehley and changing the newer group's name to Kiss.

AmeriKKKant is the fourteenth studio album by industrial metal band Ministry, which was released on March 9, 2018. It is their first release on Nuclear Blast, and marked the longest gap between studio albums in the group's entire career; at five years, following From Beer to Eternity (2013). AmeriKKKant is also the first Ministry album without guitarist Mike Scaccia since The Last Sucker (2007); Scaccia died in 2012 but appeared posthumously on From Beer to Eternity.

AllMusic's Thom Jurek gave the album 3 out of 5 stars, describing it as "...the band's most consistent and innovative recording." As of 2022, this is the most recent studio album to contain original material by The Georgia Satellites, although they did record eight new songs on their next album Shaken Not Stirred (1996).
