The Williston Herald is a two-day-per-week newspaper printed in Williston, North Dakota. The Herald is the official newspaper of Williams County, North Dakota and the main newspaper covering northwestern North Dakota and northeastern Montana. The newspaper is printed on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Contents

The Williston Herald also included the Plains Reporter, a weekly publication distributed throughout northwestern North Dakota and northeastern Montana. The Plains Reported ceased in 2023.

The Herald employs approximately 12 employees. The Herald used to employ more than 60 carriers and motor route drivers, but no longer delivers newspapers. They are mailed to subscribers.[ citation needed ]

20 under 40

In 2018, the Williston Herald recognized 20 young professionals in a new awards series called 20 under 40. The publication selected honorees from reader nominations, saying that they aimed to curate a list of "young professionals who went above and beyond in their efforts to make the community better." [3]

<i>The National</i> (Wales) Welsh daily newspaper (2021–22)

The National Wales was a Welsh daily news website owned by Newsquest and compact newspaper. Gavin Thompson is the editor, while three journalists – audience and content editor Michael Sweet and reporter Gareth Axenderrie – have been taken on to work for the title; Rachel Nurse, another reporter, died in October 2021. Unlike the Scottish outlet of the same name, The National took no political stance and claimed to simply be "pro-Wales". It became a weekly newspaper from 17 April 2021, but ceased print in November of that year. Its closure was announced in August 2022, and the website has since been taken offline.
