Wipkingen is a quarter in the district 10 in Zürich.

District 10 is a district in the Swiss city of Zurich.

Official language is German. It is a member of the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches. The denomination has Presbyterian-Synodal church government. It is a member of the Conference of Churches on the Rhine.

Zurich Wipkingen railway station is a stop of Zürich S-Bahn line S24. The station is a 3-minute ride from Zürich Hauptbahnhof.

The S24 is a regional railway line of the Zürich S-Bahn of the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network. The line was significantly extended in June 2014, and again in December 2015, and has subsumed the previous S21 line that previously provided service over part of its extended route, and which was itself previously numbered S1.

Zürich Hauptbahnhof is the largest railway station in Switzerland. Zürich is a major railway hub, with services to and from across Switzerland and neighbouring countries such as Germany, Italy, Austria, and France. The station was originally constructed as the terminus of the Spanisch Brötli Bahn, the first railway built completely within Switzerland. Serving up to 2,915 trains per day, Zürich HB is one of the busiest railway stations in the world.

It includes a new set of underground platforms at Zürich Hauptbahnhof, and carries twin standard gauge tracks electrified at 15 kV AC 16 2/3 Hz using overhead catenary.

The Wipkingen Tunnel is a railway tunnel in the Swiss city of Zürich. The tunnel runs from the northern end of Wipkingen station to a portal to the south of Oerlikon station. It carries twin standard gauge tracks electrified at 15 kV AC 16 2/3 Hz using overhead catenary. Since 1902, the line has been part of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
