Woodrow Wilson West (born 19 September 1985) is a Belizean professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League of Belize club Verdes FC and the Belize national team. He has played in Honduras. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]
In February 2008, West was signed by Panamanian side Atlético Chiriquí. [9]
In July 2013, West and fellow Belizean international Ian Gaynair were praised by CONCACAF for reporting an attempt to bribe them ahead of a Gold Cup match against the United States. [10]
He participated in qualifying matches for the 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cup tournaments.
During a Verdes match against Progresso on 17 May 2023, West was detained by police for questioning regarding the murder of 19-year-old Imarie Galvez. [11] He was later cleared as a suspect. [12]
