WorkJam is a Canadian technology company that provides a mobile app for organizations with non-salaried or shift workers designed by a by the same name. History

WorkJam was founded in Montreal in 2014 by CEO Steven Kramer. The company was created to address scheduling unpredictability and other challenges for hourly workers. [3] [4]

In 2019, the company acquired Peerio, a secure messaging and file-sharing application. [5]

In November 2022, the company secured a US$50 million growth investment in a round led by Inovia Capital and Fonds de solidarité FTQ, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. [6]

Reception

In 2023, the company was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential companies. [7]

The company's business model has been noted by Fortune as part of a trend of "ever-boarding," or the constant training of employees to fill different roles, allowing employers to hire less and share resources across locations. [1]
