The Workers' Communist Party (Danish : Arbejderpartiet Kommunisterne, abbreviated APK) is a minor Danish communist party. It was founded in Copenhagen in April 2000.
The Founding Congress of the APK adopted the general programme, "The Manifesto for a Socialist Denmark", and the action program, "All Together against Capital", as well as the statutes of the APK.
The organizational principle of the APK is democratic centralism.
APK's historical roots lie in the antirevisionist Party-Building Communist Organization October (Oktober), which emerged from the Communist Party of Denmark/Marxist–Leninists in 1997.
The central organ of the APK is the fortnightly Kommunistisk Politik (Communist Policy). Its theoretical journal is the publication Orientering (Orientations). Its international bulletin is the English-language Kommunistisk Politik International.
The youth organization of the APK is the Danish Communist Youth League (DKU).
The APK is an active member of the International Conference of Marxist–Leninist Parties and Organizations.
Marxist-Leninistiska Kampförbundet, full name Marxist-leninistiska kampförbundet för Sveriges kommunistiska parti, was a communist political organization in Sweden formed in 1970 by Vänsterns Ungdomsförbund, the youth organization of VPK. Within VUF several ultraleftist tendencies had surged during the 1960s, orientating it toward Maoism. VUF broke with VPK in 1968, and in 1970 they formed MLK. MLK was ideologically almost identical with the larger KFML/SKP, with Marxism–Leninism-Mao Zedong Thought as the ideological backbone. MLK supported KFML/SKP in elections.
Oyggjaframi (marx-leninistar) or OFML was a communist organization in the Faroe Islands. The party was established in 1972 when it split from Oyggjaframi.
The Party of Labour of Albania (PLA), also referred to as the Albanian Workers' Party (AWP), was the ruling and sole legal party of Albania during the communist period (1945–1991). It was founded on 8 November 1941 as the Communist Party of Albania but changed its name in 1948. The party was dissolved on 13 June 1991 and succeeded by the Socialist Party of Albania.
