The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is an American country rock band formed in 1966. The group has existed in various forms since its founding in Long Beach, California. Between 1976 and 1981, the band performed and recorded as the Dirt Band.
Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy is the fourth studio album from The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, released in 1970, including the hit song "Mr. Bojangles". The album reached No. 66 on US charts. Three singles charted: "Mr. Bojangles" reached No. 9, "House at Pooh Corner" reached No. 53, and "Some Of Shelly's Blues" reached No. 64. In Canada, the singles reached No. 2, No. 30, and No. 56.
Hold On is the seventeenth studio album by American country folk group Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, released on July 7, 1987. The album produced three singles "Baby's Got a Hold on Me", "Fishin' in the Dark", and "Oh What a Love". This was the last Dirt Band album to feature John McEuen as a member until 2002's Will the Circle Be Unbroken, Volume III.

American Pride is the fourteenth studio album by American country music band Alabama, released in 1992 by RCA Nashville. It included the singles "I'm in a Hurry ", "Take a Little Trip", "Hometown Honeymoon" and "Once Upon a Lifetime". "I'm in a Hurry" was a Number One hit for the band, while the other singles all reached the Top Five on the U.S. Billboard country charts. "Between the Two of Them" was later released as a single by Tanya Tucker from her 1994 album Fire to Fire.
Cheap Seats is the fifteenth studio album by the American country music band Alabama, released in 1993 by RCA Records. It produced the singles "Reckless", "T.L.C. A.S.A.P." and the title track. Of these, "Reckless" was the band's final Number One hit on the Billboard country charts until 2011's "Old Alabama", and "The Cheap Seats" was the band's first single in fourteen years to miss Top Ten of the charts. Alabama produced the album along with Josh Leo and Larry Michael Lee, except for "Angels Among Us", which bassist Teddy Gentry produced.

"When She Cries," "Mending Fences," "We Got the Love" and the title track were released as singles. The album reached #26 on the Top Country Albums chart and has been certified Gold by the RIAA. This is also the band's first album not to feature lead vocalist Larry Stewart, who departed in 1991. Conversely, drummer John Dittrich, keyboardist Dave Innis, and bassist Paul Gregg alternate as lead vocalists on this album.

This album went to #8 on the US Country charts. The three singles from this album all charted in the top 3. "Long Hard Road " went to 1, "I Love Only You" went to 3, and "High Horse" went to 2. The album is noteworthy for covers of both Meat Loaf's 1978 hit "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" and Bruce Springsteen's 1981 single "Cadillac Ranch".

Bang Bang Bang is the 1999 album from The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The title track reached number 52 on the US Country chart. The track "Down the Road" was originally recorded by Mac McAnally, and would later be a No. 1 in 2008 when he re-recorded it with Kenny Chesney.
Live Two Five is a live album recorded during three shows at the Red Deer Fine Arts Center in Alberta, Canada, in 1991. The concert recording marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band despite the absence of founding member John McEuen. The tracks on this collection are live versions of songs that were previously released as well as a new song.
