World Conference on Transport Research Society

The World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS) is an international research organization dedicated to transportation research. The scope of the society is multi-modal, multi-disciplinary, and multi-sectorial transportation research. The Society organizes every three years the World Conferences on Transportation Research in different parts of the world. The WCTRS has representatives and members in 67 countries and geographical areas around the World. Currently Professor Tae Hoon Oum from the University of British Columbia (Canada) is the president.

The Society and the Conference intend to play a strong leadership role in bridging the gaps between research and practice. The objective of the WCTRS is to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas among transportation researchers, managers, policy makers, and educators from all over the world, from a perspective which is multi-modal, multi-disciplinary, and multi-sectorial.

Conferences

The WCTRS organizes a triennial research conference. The next World Conference on Transportation Research will be organized in Montréal, Québec, Canada and will take place from July 24 to 28, 2022.

Critics describe the conference as having "loose standards", since it has accepted papers of dubious academic merit. Organizers stress interdisciplinary communication, describing the conference as both wide in scope as a general international scientific meeting, and specifically focused in the manner of a subject-area conference.

European Cyclists Federation

European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) is an umbrella federation for national cycling organizations throughout Europe.

The mission of the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS) is to advance public health through guidance on health research including ethics, medical product development and safety. CIOMS is an international nongovernmental organization established jointly by World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1949. CIOMS represents a substantial proportion of the biomedical scientific community through its member organizations.

The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) provides the global sustainable development community with representation from Pakistan as well as South Asia as a whole. The Institute's mission is: "To catalyse the transition towards sustainable development, defined as the enhancement of peace, social justice and well-being, within and across generations". The think tank is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Lauder Institute of University of Pennsylvania ranks it at number 15 among research institutes in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is a division of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, formerly the National Research Council of the United States, which serves as an independent adviser to the President of the United States, the Congress and federal agencies on scientific and technical questions of national importance. McMaster Faculty of Science

Collaborative partnerships are agreements and actions made by consenting organizations to share resources to accomplish a mutual goal. Collaborative partnerships rely on participation by at least two parties who agree to share resources, such as finances, knowledge, and people. Organizations in a collaborative partnership share common goals. The essence of collaborative partnership is for all parties to mutually benefit from working together.

The Academia Engelberg Foundation is a Swiss foundation in Engelberg in the Canton of Obwalden that aims to impart and utilize knowledge. It promotes the dialogue on the scientific, technological and ecological basic values of society.

The International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique, and Applications (IUVSTA) is a union of 34 science and technology national member societies whose role is to stimulate international collaboration in the fields of vacuum science, technique and applications, and related multi-disciplinary topics.
