History

The WMO was started by Chinawut Sirisompan September 13, 2011 in Bangkok.

Rules and rankings

The WMO publishes regularly updated rankings for the professional female and male Muay thai categories. They are the only Muay Thai body to publish in both English and Thai. Depending on the popularity of a weight weight, their rankings hold the current top 15 to 40 fighters in the division, more than any other sanctioning body. WMO-sanctioned professional fights adhere to the standard rules and regulations for all Muay Thai competitions as approved by the Board of Boxing Sport (Office of Professional Sports) of the Sports Authority of Thailand. The regulations are on the Rules & Regulations section of the WMO's official website.
